200th

Today's entry is indeed my 200th on Blogger (had a blog life before Blogger !), the first one was written & posted on March 20th & is probably the only one that never got commented. (though interesting !)

I would have loved to make a giveaway for my 200th blog post, but there won't be. I have decided to make a giveaway for the new year (not on the 01st of January neither !) so check that space later in January if you're interested !

Activities Advent Calendar - Day 21 : Printing a blank calendar (month by month) for each boy, and they had to decorate. OK, we'll cheat & will do this today. Yesterday we cooked (included a chocolate mousse, I'll share the very easy recipe ASAP), watched TV, walked a lot around the Disney's hotel (the parks being waaayyyy too overcrowded ! no thanks !), and even went to the very nearby Chinese restaurant. (we had a blast -the boys too- & promised to go back there before the end of the vacations) See, no time for the calendars yesterday ! LOLActivities Advent Calendar - Day 22 : today the boys made little games a bit like the ones the kids play at a fair (type "throw bean bags in a basket" ... etc), and the final prizes were a set of 1 snowman + 1 little boy Playmobil characters, and a small bag of mini candies. The boys were so thrilled, needless to say ! LOLFor lunch, I had prepared brandade turnovers (Brandade is a puree of salt cod, olive oil and milk), made with shortcrust pastry (and not puff pastry). We find brandade in cans in France.I regularly make these as it's very practical for Chris to take away to work, and is good cold as well. (though better when warm !)
So far our vacations've been like we planned them to be : a bit lazy, a lot cozy, a lot yummy. LOL I even managed to go to the hairdresser's this afternoon (after two months, it was badly needed). I always think this as a big waste of time, even though I always bring a good book to read, and a notebook + pen to write ideas down. Although it is always a lux to go there, I always spend too much time to my own taste. Oh well. :)
OK, it's drizzling right now, and it's been like this all day long. I hope the sky will clear soon as we've planned to go to Paris tomorrow. (no no, no big stores for us, thanks, I'm rather thinking fabric shop, mmmm, well, we'll see tomorrow !)
Have a super nice start of Christmas week everyone !! Big hugs xoxox and take care !

PS : Deb, the wristmarmers tutorial is coming, I promise. :)

  2. ooh, a cooked mousse. I'll look forward to that recipe, the only choccy mousse recipe I have is what I call 'raw' (i.e not cooked, just ingredients whipped together, including egg or egg white - I misremember - but of course, I can't make that for little one, eggs have to be thoroughly cooked, certainly not raw in any way!). I'll be looking out for the recipe.

    Happy 200th Post birthday!

Hope you've had a lovely day. A lazy, cozy, yummy holiday sounds perfect.I've just been pre writing my diary for tomorrow and finish with the words 'have a delicious Tuesday', seems perfect for you at the moment! xx

  3. Hi Sonia! Congrats on your 200th post and they are always interesting with lots of lovely photos! And things I've never heard of like Brandade turnovers. The ingredients probably surprisepeple much like when I write about fish tacos! LOL! I'm open to trying any kind of food.

I hadn't thought about Playmobil characters in such a long time- guess I'll be getting reacquainted with toys because of Ryan. Have a wonderful Christmas week! (((Hugz)))
