1) for the face & the body :
my hubby's been using it when he shaves himself, and he doesn't use any shaving cream/foam/gel anymore & his skin is soft & he says that it strictly the same as before, though it doesn't foam so it's a tin little bit harder to shave (just a tiny little bit, he said). But boy, the price of an Aleppo soap is VERY economical & even MORE ecological (very very few plastic & paper packaging). With a single very small soap, he could shave for ... well ... I don't know how long, but a looong time ! The first Aleppo soaps we could find had quite a strong smell but I've recently found a new one that doesn't smell that strong anymore & smell rather neutral.
2) for the linen :
- in the Eastern world, it's known to be a true anti clothes moths ! (people place them in their cupboard to preserve their clothes from clothes moths)
- I have noticed myself that there were very few stains that Aleppo soap couldn't erase. (I've managed to remove blood, chocolate, pencils !) That may sound incredible, but it's very efficient. And again, totally natural, with totally NO phospate. Water pollution, that kills the aquatic system, is partly due to domestic detergent. Aleppo soap is totally freed of phosphates.
In a word ... TRY Aleppo soap. First buy a little soap, just to test it on your skin & on your linen, then tell me what you think about it. I don't think you'll regret.
PS : Aleppo soap was the first hard soap ever to be created, Small-scale production methods and ingredients that have not seen change since they were created in Aleppo in the 8th century have been preciously preserved to this day, through generation after generation of Aleppo Master Soap makers. (the city of Aleppo is located in the north-western part of Syria)
Did you try this soap on the caramel stains on your husband's wool suit?
