This morning I, obviously, did some crafts with the boys, while my mom was sewing. (I'll tell more later in the entry) I cut stripes of colored papers, and we made a first project of weaving the stripes & glueing them on a sheet of paper, and drawing on them too. Then, with all the other stripes, I had the idea of writing words, lots of words, names, verbs, etc ... and I started creating funny (or VERY funny !) sentences with them, and the boys right away went to see & started playing with them, and then they created their own bits of papers with words on them. I'm so proud to report that P is reading fluently, and U is getting much interested in words & sentences. (I'm so happy about that too)
So, I was saying that my mom had sewn while the boys & I were crafting. I had several VERY light fabrics I had bought two or three years ago, and didn't know what to do with them. I had the idea of using them to make summer curtains for our bedroom & for the boys' bedroom. So that's what my mom did. She already made the ones for our bedroom & is currently making the ones for the boys'. The following photo shows the ones of our bedroom. I asked her to make something girly to them ... look !

I'll make this entry short so I'll show you an idea I came up with some weeks ago, to re-use old/unused CDs ... to decorate the boys' bedroom. I fixed them on the wall with small balls of adhesive gum (Blue Tak type). It reflects the light & gives (to my own humble opinion) a modern look, something that the little ones do appreciate. :) So, let's say that this idea is an EcoTip . ;-)
