Spring Showers

It's getting a bit late, but nevermind. To make long short, this morning we went to Starbucks, then to the health store (where we do, I'd say, 75% of our food purchases). Btw, talking about organic & natural things, in case you had missed it, my very first post here was a post about Aleppo Soap, that I use to remove stains on clothes, and that my hubby uses to shave. You should have a look if you hadn't already read it. (thanks)

The print in the frame in the background was made by Anna @ http://lillalotta.etsy.com, please go visit her, she has gorgeous & unique creations !

Yesterday afternoon, I treated myself with a small bouquet of hot pink carnations. It'd been AGES since I last bought flowers. I have changed my way of displaying the flowers I buy. I'm totally agreeing with the zen theory that a flower is enough in itself. OK, maybe one or two are enough. I pretty agree with that, at least in MY home.

I received this gorgeous Gooco print today, I had ordered it during my vacations. It came all the way from San Francisco. I bought the red frame this afternoon & I'm in love with them both !!

So ... I spread the carnations a bit everywhere in the appartment. Bathroom, our bedroom & living-room. It's a cheap way to have flowers all around, and I love that !
I have also re-used/re-cycled green glass Perrier bottles into green vases. And I'm pretty happy with that too. Look :

Am planning to look for unusual glass bottles to use as little vase.
Health speaking now. I've been feeling fine since the surgery, and with the help of pain killers, I spent a good & pain free night, and day so far. I just feel it's swollen, and it's weird in my mouth too, but that's OK, this will fade away with time. Chris went to the angiologist (?) at noon to have veins sclerotization done. That happens correctly but now it hurts quite a bit. Poor thing. I hope this weird feeling with fade away soon too.
Spring Showers ... so, after that we stayed home all afternoon (except when I went to buy the red frame shown above). Cooked, washed the dishes, played etc ... and during the second half of the afternoon, we had spring showers (or should I say storms, as there were lightenings & thunder), sun, showers, sun, rainbow, showers, sun, rainbow ... quite unusual over here to have storms.

I'm sorry I still haven't translate the muffin recipe, I have to do that tomorrow, along with ironing, laundry, hoovering etc. Phew, I'm already worn out. Haven't crafted a single bit this week & am definitely NOT happy about that part. I hope next week will be very crafty !!!
Have also started making the pages about photos of my boys, but boy it's taking me time ! Will let you know as soon as they'll be ready.
OK, time to stop typing, it's 11.15pm now. Zzzzzzzzz .... Have a great weekend everyone ! Big hugs OXOXO

  2. Hello! Glad you had such a nice Saturday... love the rainbow photo! It must have been quite something to have such storms today.
I've been waay too busy today and was supposed to be going to my IL's for supper but I decided to stay home instead. Sometimes a pregnant mama has to decide to take it easy a bit and we're having a family over after church for lunch so I have all that to get ready later on too. I'm off to sit on our front steps and enjoy the cooler evening. Unlike you, it is super hot today here!! Lots of love and have a good day tomorrow xxoo
