hello lovely girls ! It's Friday (woohoo), I'm happy the weekend is around the corner now. I bet you are too !!
just like I'd been aware of my fabric stash after cleaning/organizing/decluttering, I've been aware of our fossil collection when dusting the top of the glass pane of the wooden box.I'm eager to go out "hunting" for more of them, and add new ones to our collection, but I thought it was time I shared some of them with fellow fossil lovers. I think I may do this on a regular basis.
basically, I'm giving away some of them, the ones pictured on the photo below :there are ammonites, belemnites & bivalva. I included entire fossils & also broken ones, because they also are interesting, they're all so beautiful, more particularly when you look at them closely. These are 200 millions years old. (and for the new readers, I picked them all myself, here in southern France)
* if you wish to enter this little giveaway, simply leave a message to THIS blog post. Don't forget to include a way for me to contact you if you've won !! (email address or link to your blog) Of course I will ship them anywhere in the world. *
the winner will be picked on Sunday 16th, so if you're interested, please add your name as soon as possible. (not sure that leaving the giveaway open for a whole week would be much useful) Thank you for your understanding.
have a terrific Friday everyone, and please make sure to carve yourself a good piece of me time this weekend.
xoxo

Hi Sonia! What a great collection and I like how you display them in the cute box. We love in the Santa Monica Mountain range near Malibu Beach so I'm sure we have fossils. If I ever get around to exploring and find some, I'll send some to you. Enjoy the weekend1 TGIF!

I found my very first fossil on my recent trip to Tasmania of a leaf inprint. It re-ignited my rock collecting passion I had as a child :)
ReplyDeleteI too am fascinated by fossils - as a child I started collecting Devils Toenails which are fairly plentiful locally
ReplyDeleteMy husband grew up in FL and has a great (rather small) collection of fossils and shark's teeth - my kids are so fascinated by them as are we. It would be so fun to have something from another part of the world!! elizabethlehman@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteOh my! I collect fossils too! I have always admired your collection.
ReplyDeleteLove the fossils and would love having one you collected. I have a couple of shell ones and I have a portion of stalactite so would love to add to this small collection. Generous of you to share this way no matter who the lucky person is. And did I mention that I love your blog??? Always great to log on and see what photos you have posted. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique giveaway. Count me in!
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely! I've always wanted an ammonite. I haven't found anything in years but used to run across crinoid stems. You are super generous to share!
ReplyDeleteI came upon your blog a few weeks ago and love your beautiful posts. Fossils from the south of France sounds beautiful too!
