under the tent

today's activity was building a tent (or a fort) and go reading Christmas books under. ( I know, yet another easy activity ... but who said it had to be messy & difficult activities everyday ?!)

the Christmas tent

come on in

Outdoors, it's too warm, it almost feels like spring & it doesn't feel right, according to me.

this morning I stumbled upon a how-to video on Etsy that I thought might interest you (it interest me, so that's why I think it may interest you). So let me share it now with you :

I think it's on my to-do list for 2011 ... (but not in a light bulb, though ... I think it's a teeny tiny wee too tiny)

have a good middle of your week, friends. Take care

xoxo

  1. Hi Sonia! I loved to make tents/forts with blankets or sheets and chairs when I was little. I also used to line up chairs down our hallway and play train. I'd use all my dolls as passengers.

I also have made many terrariums in bottles. It was hugely popular back in the late 60's, early 70's. We would use wine bottles that had really round bases and narrow opening. We also made them in big sparkletts water bottles that were delivered to your home. They smell really good if you like that damp, earthy smell. :)

  2. I googled and found many articles about how terrariums are returning from the time period I mentioned.

  3. My little sweetpea would LOVE and come and make tents with you. She has a tent making obsession. I'm always walking into the living room or dining room and finding blankets (or my curtains!) draped over chairs!

I love, love, love, love, love the frosted candle jars. What a gorgeous idea.

Hope your day is chugging along nicely. Have a pleasant evening. :o) xxxx
