a pinch of autumn & a dash of winter

a pinch of autumn ...

yesterday afternoon, after bringing the boys back to school, and before going back to help going to the Contemporary Art Museum, I had barely more than an hour to kill. Shall I come home, that's the question I asked myself. I didn't have the right answer to my question before leaving home after lunch, so I grabbed my Iphone, tissues, water bottle (not the plastic one), a book, micron pens & something to draw onto. I brought the boys to school and then I was forced to decide. When suddenly I HAD the right answer ... I decided to go to the botanical garden, which is only 5mn from the boys' school. I was so right. This is what I saw ...

officially not over

luminous

colors & shapes

spots of yellow

autumn is officially not over yet, here. I got a little reminder of that when I saw all those yellows.

I have more photos from this short hour in the botanical garden, but I'll save them for another day (tomorrow maybe).

a dash of winter ...

today's activity in our calendar was a low key one, an easy for me too, it was Make a Flake a gogo day !! If you don't know this site yet, this may keep your little one (um, or yourself, shh) busy for a good moment. The website is here.

Have a very lovely Friday, everyone !

  1. Hello Sonia, interesting to see your beautiful trees, yes we lost our golden leaves several weeks ago now and nearly all the trees here are bare for winter..... early snow has really made the start of December into a wintry world.... enjoy your trees and light, and seasonal changes, best wishes Cathy x

    bon weekend x

  4. Beautiful.
Wonderful that you had some alone time in such a setting; just you and your microns - bliss!

  5. no, it's not. But it was cut short here. It is my one sadness about our early start to winter. I love Autumn so much, and wait for it all summer long, and this year, it was snatched from under us by Winter.

Thank you for your lovely photos :o) xxx
