EDITED 16/11/2010 10.35pm : with the help of Ben (@ Pinterest) & of my husband, I managed to make things work, and it doesn't crash my computer anymore, PHEW ! Thank you guys !!
I have joined a handful of happy friends on Pinterest. Good. Fabulous, I'd say. But. I have a question for the ones of you who are already using it : do you all use a Mac ?
because I do not, and I've not been able to drag that damn link to the favorite toolbar. Links just won't be dragged with Windows !!! arrrgh !! (insert a scream here please)
it wouldn't bother me more than that, because I've seen I can manually add the pins, but but but but ... since I've tried to use Pinterest, it stucked my laptop, it literally froze, which annoyed me to no end ... and I had to force it four times already (2 times before going to bed, two times this morning). And this isn't making me happy. At all. It makes me loose my time, and I don't know why it's not working fine with my computer.
so, unless someone helps me here, I'll maybe leave the whole Pinterest thing on the side. Maybe it's only for Mac users, I don't know.
on a more positive note, here are a couple of photos from yesterday. I grabbed a stem (with leaves on) of Virginia creeper, on my way back home from bringing the boys back to school. I thought its color was looking good with the scarf I was wearing then, and with the bits of silks I had dyed with onion skins on Sunday afternoon.
any help or advice for Pinterest would be much appreciated. I do feel like a dumb, that's ridiculous ... I thought I wasn't ! LOL

My two boys (almost 5 and 6) really enjoy embroidery. Every couple of months one of them will ask to do it. It is VERY freehand. They just poke the needle up and down until they run out of thread. Your little guy seems very focused. Love the picture of the creeper in the vase. Beautiful colours.
ReplyDeletei am sorry i can't help you but I am sure the support is good so I would just email them to find out what the issue is.
ReplyDeleteLove all your thoughtful photographs here.
Now off to work I go!!
Oh no! Sorry it's not working for you. Yes, I'm a Mac user but we have a PC laptop - haven't tried it on there. If it's crashing on yours I'd better not try.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Margie, just contact them. While they're a small company with a new product they will be very grateful to receive feedback on whatever is happening. Your feedback would most likely lead to bug fixes.
Way to go P on that stitching, long may you enjoy it!
And I adore your colour palette Sonia, isn't it nice the way colours play off each other. Your selection reminds me of a vibrant Geninne painting.
Also, the postman brought me a special little soft package this afternoon and my neck has a new treat around it. Thanks J xoxo
Just found your Flick pictures of vegetable dyes - so beautiful! Glad to have found your blog too. :)
