ok, so I decided to group the last two days of our trip to Paris, for a single post today. But first, for those who are not on Flickr, here are the fabrics I bought there. In the order the photos are show : cottons, wool blends, Liberty of London.my mom is coming today & will stay until Friday I suppose, and hubby will be away at work tomorrow & on Thursday in Marseille, the boys will go back to school tomorrow (exceptionally, as they usually have school off on Wednesdays) ... so this week will be very busy. Not to mention the laundry that is still on top of my list, as well as filling that empty fridge with something good to eat. So, well, here's a sum up of Oct 30th & 31st, for you to enjoy.as you can see, we've been to the Palais de la Découverte on Saturday, then the boys absolutely wanted to stop by C42 Citroen showroom, so we obliged (ahem). Then we went to Bercy garden but stopping by Starbuck's first. Headed to the hotel & after a shower, went back out for dinner.
and for Sunday now ...we took our time on Sunday, as we had nothing more particularly planned (like musuem visits, if you see what I mean). So I took some time to stitch in the hotel room, then we left the hotel and went to the Palais Royal gardens, next to the Louvre, and had fun wandering in our favorite spots in town. The weather was nice so it was really lovely. Then hubby stopped by Ladurée (on Rue Royale ... a total coincidence ... they are so not close to each other) and the boys & I walked to the Tuileries garden, where we sat & waited for him. We had lunch & then the said macarons. We finally got back to the hotel to grab our luggage, stopped by Exki (restaurant) for the boys to have a snack & for getting our take away (hey, but healthy, I swear) dinner to have on the train. And finally headed to the train station, waited & had our train & went back home, happy but a tiny bit exhausted. And with a cold for me as a souvenir from Paris. :)
now let me wish you all a lovely day ahead, no matter what you have planned to do, or what you are obliged to do. Good luck for your day. And thanks always for stopping by, it is always SO much appreciated. I still need to play catch up with you all, but I seriously need more hours in the day !

ReplyDeleteyou capture the essence of your trip to paris amazingly
Each day in Paris captured so beautifully. Now, if only I had one of those macaroons. I am also suffering from a cold, unfortunately, just a dreary Canadian cold.
ReplyDeletebeautiful images Sonia (as always!). So glad you all had such a nice time in Paris. I have never tried a macaron. There is sure a lot of enthusiasm around them, so one of these days I really should try to locate some!
ReplyDeleteLiving only a train ride from Paris must be so fun! I dream of a big city vacation with mr. Yonder(but without kids). Walking, dining, and exploring shppes.
ReplyDeleteThe wools you bought are lovely!
Hope the cold leaves you soon!
Hi Sonia! Fabulous photos as always! Sorry you had to add a cold to your other nice souvenirs from Paris! I'm feeling better today and hope you are, too. I see you're keeping your hair super short. That must be so liberating to not have to fuss with your hair all the time! If I could get away with that look, I'd do it too! :D
