Anouar Brahem Quartet

I know, this is my second post of the day, but we just came home from a concert, the five of us (hubby, sons, mother-in-law & I) We went to see & listen to Anouar Brahem Quartet, playing "The Astounding Eyes of Rita".

it was one of my most interesting experience ever. I'll talk about that another day, but instead, let me share a video of the same concert, this year, but not today's. I could have listened to their music all night long. (they had a standing ovation and all, it was pure bliss)

led by Anouar Brahem, the quartet made up by the clarinet the electric bass, and the percussion dazzled a jazz audience, performing some of Brahem’s new compositions at the crossroads between Eastern and Western musical sounds.

“The Astounding Eyes of Rita”, the title of his tenth album, is in tribute to the poetry of the late Palestinian poet “Mahmoud Darwish”, to whom the album is dedicated.

you can read Anouar Brahem's biography here.
