green, red & peachy pink

but not on the same thing !

green
... green is the color of the silk after we dyed for the 2nd time with phillyrea angustifolia. Cotton & linen didn't take well, but silk did, and the green is as interesting as the first green we had achieved the first time we used phillyrea angustifolia.

red
... is the main color of the new coasters I've made. They're holiday themed, with red berries & holly on one side, and red gingham on the other, with handstamped gingerbread men running on the cotton tape. :)

I carved a new little logo stamp out of a bit of an eraser, and have decided to use it for making my new labels, or directly for instance on coasters. I love it to bits.

peachy pink
... is the dominant color of the Moleskine (large) notebook I have embellished. If you really want to know it all, the plaid fabric was given to me by my friend Laurraine, the denim was salvaged from jeans of my sons when they were toddlers, the floral fabric was given to me by my friend Marie-Noƫlle, and the linen was bought by me. The embroidered ribbon was bought in Paris, the page marker is made with it & with hemp yarn. There, you have its whole story. I love it, when things have a story of their own.

thank you very much for your enthousiasm yesterday for the apple pancake ! I hope to try many new recipes this autumn & winter, and will dig in my own favorites to share with you all here.

both coasters & Moleskine are already in the shop ... and there are lots of items in the SALE section !

now after that shameless self promotion, I'll wish you a lovely weekend ahead. My (only) niece turned 1 yesterday & we're going to 2 different birthday parties, on Saturday afternoon & on Sunday afternoon. If weather allows, we'll even try to go to the beach (no no, no bathsuit, thank you). If your weather allows, going out for a walk & picking autumn treasures might be a good idea. :) Enjoy your weekend, friends !

xoxo

  6. Hi Sonia! I see you are as busy and crafty as always. I don't know if you got it but I did send you my email address. Thanks for your nice words for Kali. Losing a beloved pet is always hard. Hope all is well with you and your family. Today Ryan is 3- can you believe it? Well, I'm sure you can as your boys are growing up so quickly, too! :) (((Hugz)))
