- stamps I bought this morning at the post office ... butterfly stamps for snail mail (yes, writing this made me laugh, I'm pathetic)
- a bamboo leaf (coming from the bamboo trees facing our building) made its way to our kitchen ... I thought it had a ripe banana look ... and it made me smile. Probably one of the first signs of autumn here. It was supposed to rain tomorrow, and it got suddenly overcast after lunch, and it even started drizzling this afternoon. I can feel in the air that it's a bit chillier, and quite frankly I won't complain. I need to completely pack all of our summer clothes tomorrow & take the autumn ones out. See, summer lasts until the last bit, over here.- and I finally managed to improve/finish the armwarmers I had started to make, repurposing one of the boys' toddler jumper. I re-used the denim I had also cut that same day (from a too skinny pair of jeans of mine, pre-baby if you see what I mean). I measured, cut & pressed, making some kind of bias tape with the denim. And then sewed it around the fraying egde (where I had cut it from the jumper). Ta da, two repurposings at once ! Two armwarmers ready to be used ! Really can't wait to use them !!well, I think that's all for today. I hope your week is ending on a good note, friends ! Take care

those stamps are just gorgeous
ReplyDeletethey remind me of my childhood stamp collection that is now lost
i used to collect only animal and insect stamps from around the world
the most beautiful butterfly stamps always came from hungary.
love the stamps and the arm warmer is tre chic
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful Sonia. Our post offices are quite lazy about our special edition stamps. Although we have many they just want to stick on a computer generated label. Perhaps it's not lazy, it's the huge lines in our post offices that make them do it. I always feel guilty for requesting proper stamps, and making everyone in the line wait while they fish them out. But that's part of the beauty of posting something, and I won't be denied a little beauty ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a very happy Friday.
