on Sunday morning we went visiting that gallo-roman archeological site that I talk about yesterday (see previous post), and after that, we drove back north to our most favorite spot for fossil hunting. On the way, we stopped by a vineyard to grab a grape or two (shhh)the grape harvest has already started so it was now or never for such a treat !
then we arrived & picnicked. And then we explored the place one more time. Because you're never done, when you love Nature. And when you love fossil hunting. Yes I/we found some, no crinoid this time (sigh LOL), but I'll spare you the photo, you must be so tired of seeing the fossils we pick. But, here are some photos of what we saw, admired, explored.(of course, there are more detail on Flickr if you click the photos)
we also gathered two other materials for dyeing. More about them as soon as they're ready to show. One will be for solar dyeing, so it may take a while now.
ok, gotta go now. Been productive this morning, and the laundry, the dishes have been made, flickr visits returned, emails answered, the fabrics are being mordanting as I'm typing, I've just finishing crafting a little attention to bring to hubby's cousin who shall give birth very soon. (gifts have been purchased on their wishlist, but I don't like to come empty handed at the clinic) Off to iron a couple of clothes, and then it'll be time to go grab the boys. Just had coffee with hubby, who's now preparing lunch. After school this evening we'll go to the library. It's been a couple months we hadn't been (they were closed for most summer, then we had too much to do & read at home !!). And then, maybe, we'll go out for dinner. Never a dull moment !
have a wonderful day everyone !!

That tree with the funny mushroom glasses also has a pipe sticking out of it's mouth. Ha - I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful time you had. The light and colours - greens and yellows - are luminous.
I like the 'had coffee with husband' part... that's a good and very important thing to do as often as possible; I do believe.
It sounds like you are having a great time, your photos are beautiful and I love the wild asparagus... I have never seen that before! Really pretty flowers..

wow, you are busy! Doing lots of lovely things. I don't get bored of seeing your fossil photos, in fact I keep telling Daniel that I want to go fossil hunting! Beautiful pictures of what you saw. Enjoy your busy day x x x
ReplyDeleteThese are more wonderful images Sonia. The glasses tree gave me a real giggle. Looks like a lovely spot for gathering.
ReplyDeleteI was going to come here to say: The tree wearing fungi glasses is smoking a twig cigarette! But Ellie beat me to it :) Am having fun discovering your blog, Sonia.
