do you know where it went ? (the time)
I've been looking after it, running after it, and it always goes faster than me, despite all I want & have to do !! not fair !
it's true that hubby and I have been dyeing a lot these weeks, and as I said in my previous post, I have four posts to type to add to the dyeing blog. So, until I really DO find the time for proper blog posts, I'll show quickly the results here.
we've dyed with ...
happy, happy busy, but never enough time in the day !
well, better go running after that time again ! bye ! :) stay well, friends !!

we've dyed with ...
fennel / foeniculum vulgare
(but overheat *big mistake* and silk lost its shine)
rosehips / rosa canina (and went to the iron bucket)
(but overheat & silk lost its shine)
phillyrea augustifolia (a shrub, cousin of the olive tree, from the oleaceae family)
and finally with sunflowers / helianthus annuus
happy, happy busy, but never enough time in the day !

Thank you so much for this beautiful post, love how all these natures dyes came up to beautiful and delicate colors!!
ReplyDeleteHave you also a happy busy day!!
Oh I can relate so much. Never enough time. Even when I sit and rest rarely in the afternoon, for less than an hour, I feel guilty, and then wish I had the time back..... Oooooh the madness. Xxx
ReplyDeleteBut they are so beautiful!! I know what you mean... Where does the time go?!
ReplyDeletewow what stunning colours! when you do find the time can you tell me where it is please?
ReplyDeleteSonia, It sound slike your doing quite well and getting lots done! : ) lots of dyeing that is. Perhaps your laundry pile and dishes are piling high around you? I can relate : )
ReplyDeleteThe photos look wonderful. I'll look forward to hearing about them in more detail.
I know what you mean... time really flies! beautiful photos and beautiful colours!
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic results. You can probably guess I'm loving that phillyrea augustifolia , wonderful!
ReplyDeleteP.S. When we find that time bandit, we'll have to lock him up and throw away the key!
Woaw...I'm so impressed by how nature can have one colour while fresh and another colour when on fabric. Like the rosehips/rosa canina and the. And also amazed at how one plant gives such a different colour depending on the chosen fabric, like the phillyrea augustifolia on silk and linen.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful Sonia!
Time. Who knows where it goes? Just yesterday we were celebrating the start of 2010, and now it's almost over. The year has raced by.
