very springy last weekend of spring

while the temps are slowly rising, this weekend, being the last of spring, felt more like March than late June. Wind, rain, chilly weather, really we spent way much time indoors than outdoors. Not that I complain, because I spent most of my weekend ... drawing. I had taken with me enough materials to keep me busy for 6 months, but I ended drawing & drawing some more. The first drawing I made this weekend was inspired by the lavender my FIL had picked for me (he knows I need it for my crafts, so he picked it when it's the best time of the year - how sweet, right ?). I removed all the buds (after the photos, and for waaaaay more lavender than shown here) to dry it properly. I think I'm set for next year.

see something in the first photo ? A little bug ? Yes ? Ok, it's an insect from the Anomala genus, and is stripey & shiney, they're so lovely ! I didn't find one, nor two (in the cut lavender stems) but 6 of them ! They were so cute !

my second drawing was a card (I didn't draw it for sending it, but for drawing it only):

the thrid drawing was also a card, but has been sent (and the recipient visits this place, so I won't be showing it), and the other drawings I made this weekend were for the zine. In fact, I had started drawing for the zine ... er, a month ago, or more maybe, I can't remember. Then I hadn't feel inspired to draw. But this time, I really was, and the three/four first drawings I had made were put aside (and won't be used) and I did them all over again. And it was OH SO MUCH for the better ! I was so thrilled by the difference of drawing !! Of course I can't show now, I think you understand.
I can't be too long today, this is the first day of a very busy week for us. At work for hubby, at school for both boys, at home too because it'll be P's bday (8) on Thursday, and his bday party will be on Saturday too. (and he'll be going to a bday party too on Sunday)
let me share a few photos taken this weekend at my inlaws'. Don't be fooled, it rained all saturday & it was sooooo windy all the time.
