recently crafted

I thought it would be nice to show you (in case you don't visit my Flickr stream) what I have recently crafted. Some were made for friends (gifts or swap) ...

or for the shop ...

coasters | provence | blue
coasters | provence | red

I updated the shop yesterday with the aqua pincushion above, and today with the two sets of two coasters.

I know this is not really a thrilling post, but I prefered to show you what I've been up to these weeks, craft speaking, rather than not posting at all. I have other things in the making, and things for which I shall move my butt right now (I mean, teachers gifts, and there are 4 of them !) ...

I hope you had a lovely middle of the week. We've been to an archeological museum only a couple of streets from home, but I was not allowed to take photos, which was a real pity, because it was filled with gorgeous pieces (Greece, Egypt, Ancient Rome & Etruria) and the rooms were so splendid. I'm having a hard time not to share with you, I would have never thought something so beautiful could be found so close to my home. I ... er ... kind of borrowed some photos from the press release, the ones that I loved best (among the few they were showing in the file), so here are some pieces that talked to me.

I bought the book from the exhibition, so if I find pieces that really are worth showing, I'll share here, I promise. I'm always drawn to pieces used in the daily life, such as pottery, very functionnal pieces. (saw needles made of ivory & bone today)

ok, better go & post this before the day is over (09.30pm as I'm typing this) Sending you all big hugs

xoxo
