eight

my first born, my beautiful little baby ... has turned 8 years old today. I am still under the shock that eight long (or short) years have passed since I gave birth to this little wonder of mine. Hubby & I are so proud to be his parents, he's a good boy, a smart boy, a wonderful little boy, turning, slowly but surely in a lovely young man. Happy birthday my love !

hubby being not home for lunch, we celebrated this morning, with a giant brioche "cake" (his request !) before going to school. Boys have school until Friday July 02nd.

not so fun, my birthday boy has a bronchitis right now, poooh :( He's under medication now so it will be fine soon, I hope.

yesterday I mixed the lavender I had picked & dried last year with the one my FIL picked this year, and which is almost 100% dry now.

mixing them was a tactile, visual & olfactive little experience, so I went to grab some precious belongings of mine, and made a little (poetic) arrangment.A sea of lavender ...

little Merfish seemed to enjoy to swim in a fragrant sea of lavender, along with a (felted) waterlily. (both were handmade by my dear friend & talented artist Margie)

I am SO enjoying drawing these days, and even though I didn't have the opportunity to work more on the zine this week, I have drawn cards for friends. The last one I made was this one :

now I must leave ... it's almost time for me to grab the boys !
