only last friday was dry

yep, it rained all week last week, except on Friday. So on Friday evening we went to a basketball playground to do some sport with the boys, and wow we were so smart, as on Saturday it rained (hard !!!) all day, and tomorrow it rained this morning but the rest of the day was grey & chilly. So, here are photos of last Friday evening ...

don't you loooove that warm early evening sun light ?! I do !

this weekend was very productive (though I'm not speaking about crafts, as I didn't craft AT ALL, blugh) Yesterday (Saturday) we went to my inlaws', but in the afternoon we took advantage of having the boys babysat to go to the stores. We had to buy a new oven for my MIL (hers just broke, so this will be also a mother's day gift), got new electric toothbrushes, also went to Ikea where we got another Expedit shelf (the long one, with 5 cubes in a row).

then today, phew, today, I sat down only for eating, can you imagine that. Laundry, ironing, washing dishes, unloading the dishwasher, handwashing, hoovering (this was my bestest exercice today), dusting everywhere, assembling the shelf + a tiny table for the boys' bedroom (ok, these, my 3 guys did, not me), and tyding up everywhere, always & always. I swear, my feet hurt, that's so silly !!!

so yay, my home is clean, dust free (for one day LOL), and I even managed to have a rather good idea ! Once we framed the three prints I bought from NikkiMcClure, we looked for the best places to display them. I wanted them to be standing, not to be hung. So we put them in place, and for the two that are on top of my creative space's shelves unit (Ikea Expedit), there was a gap behind the shelves & it was too dangerous. So we cut a length of polysthyrene that was coming with the new shelf packaging, blocked it inside the gap behind the frame, and then added several small balls of BluTak (adhesive gum) on the bottom edge. It showed a tiny little bit, so I thought I could hide them behind something ... yes, but what ? Sea stones, that is !!! I finally found a smart way to display them AND find a useful use (!) for them ! (since the photos I have added a couple of pine cones)

most of the things that were on my to-do list today were tackled, yay ! Only the crafty ones & the internet related ones didn't make it, damn it ! :(

I hope your weekend was good. Relaxing good or productive good, but good anyway. See you tomorrow, girls. Take care.

  2. Love those pebbles all stacked up neatly, what a great way to decorate the frames as it doesn't detract from the art but adds to it.

  4. Your photos are so beautiful - you have a lovely blog. And I just love the idea of the pebbles (only problem is my kitten would want to play with them!!).
