just like I told you in my previous post, I have started working on my zine, and just like I told you in my previous post, I have already the title and cover ..............
but
but
BUT
... I'm the kind of girl who always changes her mind. (at least creatively speaking)
so the title isn't the same anymore
and neither is the cover
ugh
from a rather simple (OK, really simple) cover, drawn by hand with a Micron, I have changed my mind to a VERY much more elaborate, papercut cover. Don't ask me why, because I sometimes can't explain such changes of mind.maybe the fact that I (at long last) bought a cutting mat & an art knife (both of them on the photo above) last week inspired me ... maybe the fact that I ordered two weeks ago & received yesterday three prints from the ever talented Nikki McClure (self-taught artist, now this is interesting, isn't it ?) put the seed of the idea into my mind, too. (I ordered "Mother", "Extend" & "Sustain" prints)there are sooo many papercutting artists out there. Just to name a few, Rob Ryan or Elsa Mora, or Famille Summerbelle ... I could get lost in their papercuts ! And of course, there are many more artists that I don't even know ! I have to share this video, made by Famille Summerbelle, because it's absolutely breathtaking to see the work it is to cut a huge poster with extremely intricate details. The video is 3mn long. (so that you know)I have managed to have hubby share his recipe for the quiche, but good grief it's going to take me longer to translate & type it than the time it took him to make it ! LOL I'll do my best, but I also feel inspired to share with you, bit by bit, post by post, seed by seed, our (short but worthwhile) experience & tips for homegrowing sprouted seeds, and all the benefits of each of them for your health. I'm sure some of you would be interested by these posts. I have to work on that too, therefore.
oh, I have made two pincushions for M*ther's Day (trying to code because my m*m visits both my blog & Flickr, and even though she doesn't understand English, she can recognize the words m*m & m*ther) So, you can see them here & here.
ok, must go, it's almost midnight & I must go to bed now. Today was a bit less windy & a bit less rainy, but it was still very windy & it did rain, I even had to turn the heat on, which felt like so absurd, after wearing tank tops & flip flops last week !!!
I hope your middle of the week was good & nice. Please take care, my friends ! Hugs,

xoxoxo
Oh yes Nikki McClure is such an inspiration, isn't she. So much depth and meaning and personality in those lines - so much life.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your papercut - enjoy the process.
When do you sleep dear girl? You're always on the move! :D

Congratulations with your new header. I am impressed with how often you change the look on your blog & how many creative ideas you have for it. Always inspiring. I'm in the need for a makeover too.
ReplyDeleteSeeing your new project makes me wonder the same as Lisa; when do you sleep? :-)
Wish you a great Thursday!
