where I've been

well ... these days, no further than the limits of my own appartment ! I'm trying to focus a little bit more on myself (hoping this doesn't sound egocentric & selfish). I've taken care of my creative space last weekend, and it does feel very good to have & create in a decluttered space. Too much stuff around tends to make me sufocate, and that's not really good for my creativity.

peonies in the evening

my mom arrived yesterday (my MIL left on Monday evening) with a bouquet of peonies from her neighbors' garden. They opened in no time. Aren't they lovely ?

yesterday I also whipped up a pair of pink gingham lavender strawberries, and they joined the shop this afternoon.

on Monday evening, I went to a doctor, and started treating something I should have taken care of ten years ago. Walking yesterday was almost impossible, and it will take me some time to heal properly, but I hope it will totally, with time. So, I've been slowing down, and with the HUGE help of my mom (with the housework most importantly), I've been taking time for me. Hubby left for Paris today but will be back tomorrow evening. I really can't wait for him to have less work & that he'll be able himself, to focus more on himself too, because he really deserves it.

I hope YOU take good care of you.

  1. LOVE the Peonies - one of my favorite flowers and can't grow them in my yard. I know they don't last long but are definitely worth the wait and leave great memory of a beautiful flower.

  3. Beautiful peonies! I miss having them in the garden.

Hope you feel much better soon! I think many of us,especially when you are creative, have a need to use every waking hour to either create or keep up with the rest of our lives .
I too have to be reminded often that I need to take time for myself, take a day of and just enjoy. I try to make a real effort at the moment to do that.
    Have a wonderful day! :0)
    All my best!

  5. I am so sorry to hear you are suffering with pain Sonia. I hope you will heal quickly, and I am glad to hear you have family nearby to help you. I know how difficult it can be when you're a mother, and life does not exactly stop all around you.

Your creative space is wondrous! I could never have a space like this. My children would think it was Christmas every day :)

Maybe one day soon I will finally start building my studio above the garage, when the husband stops working so much.

Sending you healing thoughts and many get better wishes xx
