sunday afternoon visit to the botanical garden

well, this morning was spent doing laundry, and some more laundry (washing, ironing, putting away in the closet etc, you know that yourself, don't you ??!!) A new load always coming up, you're never ever ever on top of things, ugh ... oh well

it was hot today (25.5°C / 78°F at 3pm) so we decided to make a break from our day at home, and go to the botanical garden, which is 10mn away by foot. This is a lovely period for visiting it, as it's not winter anymore, and it's not summer yet, so everything is still green, blooming or fresh, not all dry or burnt from the heat of the summer. (if you see what I mean) So here are the highlights of the visit (in case you don't visit my Flickr)

loads of yellow pompoms
lovely shape
nymphaea alba

syringa vulgaris

it was too hot, and there was a shower when we were still in the botanical garden. We left & stopped by a café, before going back home.

I managed to squeeze a bit of crafty time & even finished a wrist cuff, yay ! It is in the shop now !

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Sure it was full for us, like always ... (so why am I surprised ?!)

tomorrow morning the boys go back to school, and hubby'll be away all day too, so it'll be a return to school week habit full force, oh boy.
