hello girls, I hope you had a lovely weekend !
it was a very sunny one over here in southern France, and the temps were high, sometimes almost reaching 26°C. Hubby worked all weekend, and wasn't home much. I took advantage of that sun to dust a lot, almost everywhere. I spent a long time on Saturday afternoon to look for something that I will need for a special project (and this one is really supposed to happen !!!) ... I think I turned half the place upside down to find it at long last in a box, in a closet. Thank goodness I found it, I REALLY needed it. (sorry for being mysterious, though) So, all that upside-down turning helped me cleaning, dusting, re-organizing here & there, and more particularly in my creative space. It needed a major spring cleaning.
when you have too many different WIPs in mind or in the making
when you keep many many things for future projects
when you have many collections, when you are a bit of a messy crafter
... you end having the ironing board in residence in the kitchen
the iron itself always out
threads all over the place (even though you remove them along the way ...)
scraps of fabrics everywhere
thread spools in different colors everywhere
embroidery floss in many many colors all over the place
and things pile up, pile up, pile up ... along with dust !
I'm not totally done with the re-organizing and creative-space-spring-cleaning, but I'd say only 10% are left. Phew. I will try to take a good photo once it will be totally finished.
we have several doctor appointments today, so I'll bid you bye bye now. I don't know if you'll see me much this week. Maybe yes, maybe no. Can't promise. Anyway, I wish you all a good week ahead.
PS : excuse the photo free post. I haven't been taking many photos these days.

When are you going to come clean my place? I have random piles of wool, acorn caps underfoot, twigs in the bathtub, piles of birch bark on the counter, buttons here and there.
ReplyDeleteNo worries about the iron though, I never touch that horrible contraption. That's hubby's domain. :D
Happy Monday, friend.
0h my-you've just described the way my craft space always is.At least this year it's in a designated room, lol :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to stop by and say that my little parcel arrived safe and well. It's so nice to receive such a lovely little gift from abroad from someone I've never met. You've inspired me to do a giveaway of my own although I'm not sure yet what I'll give away! Many many thanks again.

ReplyDeletei need you to come and organize my creative spaces
why do you think i spend so much time outdoors:)
We're back from our time away and now doing mountains of laundry. We've had wonderful sunny days but with sun comes that nasty old dust (because I can see it now). I had almost an entire day of dusting yesterday, yes, it was that bad! But it was also lovely, the sun was out and the warmth made the laundry dry quickly. Happy children out of school. I hope your days are lovely too and that the doctors appts don't take too long so you can take a break and enjoy the sun. Happy days to you my friend, J x
ReplyDeleteI can so relate (and it seems like everyone else here can too!). Feels so refreshing to clear the deck!
ReplyDeleteCiao Sonia, the weather has been nice to, we reached 18°C on Sunday, wow! :) Just wanted to see how you are doing and since I am here: have a very Happy Birthday on the 22! Hugs! :)
