when I have too many things to talk about in one single post, it's a real struggle to find the right title for the post (which makes me wonder about the real utility of a title ... post with no title would work just as well ...) OK ... so today, this is what I want to talk about :
91
my maternal grandpa is turning 91 today ! Totally awesome ! Although we can't be with him today, the boys & I handmade three cards on Wednesday & shipped them the same day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him ! May we all grow that old !!!
dyeing
yesterday I finally posted over at Naturally Dyeing blog, about the dye made with Juniperus oxycedrus. Yesterday afternoon, I dyed (unmordanted) silks (silk, silk bourette & silk yarn) with Eucalyptus globulus. (picked in my parents' neightbours' garden) The silks stayed overnight & I'll keep them in the pot until this evening & they'll dry this coming night. In the meantime, I have soaked a bit of cotton & a bit of linen in soymilk, to mordant them. (upon Eva's recommandations, thanks so much Eva !) I hope to make another dye with eucalyptus this weekend. I will most probably blog about the two dyes on Monday. (or this weekend if I get too excited by the results ! LOL)
crafting
ne ... it didn't happen yesterday neither ... I wonder what's happening to me ?! Too much reflection, not enough action I suppose. Plus, I know that there are weeks like these, when it seems you haven't done a single thing (which sometimes is true, and sometimes is totally wrong) March is another crazy busy month & between school, doctors' appointments (past & to be), school events, birthday parties, hubby's very heavy schhedule ... it's been hard to fit any creative time. (but this blog & Flickr) Oh well, it can only but get better.
blue
and today is the last day of Poppytalk's Spring Color Week. (boohoo, I didn't want to stop, it was too much fun !!) More precisely, it is Robin's Egg Blue. That's quite a precise hue of blue & approximates the shade of the eggs laid by the American Robin. I'm not sure I have one single photo in that precise hue, but I've done my best digging in my own archives. That's probably all I can show. Otherwise I'd be posting blues in really the wrong hue. (if not done already with these photos !!)
paper
last but not least, I have two different projects that are paper related projects (no, not scrapbooking, I don't scrapbook) One is in the making, the other is still at the stage of a seed in my brain. (wow ... that may take time to come to fruition LOL) I can't wait to show, as soon as one of the two will be ready ! Sorry for the mystery, but anyway, don't worry, I'm NOT writing a book !
OK time for me to leave. Enjoy your Friday as much as you can. Weekend is only but a day away !

Beautiful Blues!! And I love how you organized your blog posting under categories. My brain often operates like that, and it was fun to read.
