snow weekend

As planned we spent the weekend at my parents' where ... it had snowed ! (they live 35km from us, we didn't get snow, but they did !!!) Can you say we had a lovely weekend ? I've been waiting for snow for weeks now, begging my friends all over the world to send me some !

and it worked !!! yay !

I'm short on time this morning, so I'll add photos only. We left for two days & it feels like we left for a whole week, that's incredible.

like in a beehive
trapped leaves
poor hydrangea buds
filled with snow
like candy sugar
olive tree
sharp icicle in the olive tree
icicles
making a snowball
our snow friend
melting

As you can see, it started to melt yesterday, snow hardly stays for long over here ... so we really enjoy it to its fullest !
And yesterday morning, as we were in the garden, my mom yelled at the boys "looooook at the birds in the sky !!!" I didn't know what she was meaning, and turned my camera on anyway, and managed to shoot two photos of migrating birds. I always have the goosebumps when I see migrating birds, maybe because I know they have a looooong road before reaching their warm spot.

Of course you get larger views on Flickr, if you click the photos.

I hope you had a very lovely weekend, sweeties.

I'm worrying about the absence of Rane (for those of you who knows her). It's been a month & a half that she's been internet silent. I'm really worried.
And Margie hasn't been on the screen for four days, which is unusual, and it makes me worry too.
I keep them both in my thoughts & hope that nothing serious happened to neither of them.

  1. I don't know they people you are concerned about Sonia, but I hope they are ok.

I'm so glad you got a bit of snow! Ours is still kicking around, but it feels a little bit warmer and it does seem to be thawing out a little bit!

I hope you don't mind, but I've linked up to your cheddar muffin recipe on your blog. I made some this morning, and wanted to share the recipe. :O) They turned out well again, by the way!

Time I was off. Have a lovely day, and a good start to the week. xx

  5. Love the pictures of the snow and birds. I was going to send you a picture of my granddaughter with the lovely wrist band I purchased from you. She wears it with everything and loves it. Thank you again. Hope your dear friends are okay.
