busy sunny monday after a rainy weekend

After a relatively sunny Friday, this weekend (spent at my inlaws') was all rainy, grey & really wet. (you know, the kind wet and cold) Nevermind, I had tons of crafts to do & an appointment at the hairdresser's among not much other things.(don't go thinking I spent hours there, I now only get a cut -but that's another story that I'll talk about another day, in another post- so that was short -no pun intended !- ) I wandered a bit in their (very small, and no grass) garden, camera in hand, looking for something good to shoot. This is what I found.

beautiful succulents
lovely succulents

In the past, I never enjoyed succulents, I don't know why. But as I grew older, and with a gentle inspiration from Gennine, I started enjoying them. Anyway. Then, in the garden, I found this.

thyme and rosemary
under the porch, a basket full of wild thyme & wild rosemary, handpicked by my FIL, who makes herbal infusions with them

I couldn't believe my own eyes that thyme & rosemary were still growing & blooming through the winter. Of course they are a bit less smelly, but they still are. We did bring a handful home.

Today was quite busy. Hubby was home, mostly because of a big sinus infection. We got our new washing machine delivered too, right when I was bringing the boys to school. This is my new laundry partner ...

new laundry partner
little by little, this tiny "laundry corner" in the bathroom looks less messy.

This machine is not the same kind as our previous one, and loads on the front, which allows us to store things on top. (laundry detergent, soda bicarbonate, and my washing balls, which make me use only half dose of detergent, if not more) The basket you can see is from Ikea, and I bought 4 other ones that I used in the "tower", where everything looks tidy now.

I also spent most afternoon going to the fabric store & notion store for a possible upcoming big custom order. The day went by in a flash. I need to work a lot of custom orders, tomorrow, so I won't be long now, it's already getting late.

I hope your weekend was good, or at least, not too bad. Take care, friends.
And, Margie, you are always in my thoughts.
