What a beauty! Richard Scarry was my all time favourite at their age, though I always used to wonder why a children's author was called Scarry?!
ReplyDeleteEasy activity maybe, but I'm sure cherished just as much as the others : )
Richard Scarry and my family go way back. We have so many of his beautifully illustrated books. Some of them are even in dutch from my husband's childhood. You should do a little video of a book reading for us. That is actually a little fantasy idea of mine. For all of my blogging friends to read their favorite seasonal story and make video to share. Wouldn't that be wonderful!!!! I wish I had a proper video camera. My current camera I found out when trying to take the kitties modeling the french hankies doesn't take video compatible with imovies.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with all you activities! I think buying a christmas book is an excelent idea for an easy activity.
ReplyDeleteI love Richard Scarry. Such a good choice, we have quite a few of his books (including some from my own childhood!) here. My son loves his copy of "the night before the night before Christmas". Don't worry about the 'easy' advent thing. My children have had quite a bit of chocolate in theirs this year!
ReplyDeleteWe just bought this book and the kids love it! Beautiful illustrations and great little stories. Reading out loud all snuggled...great activity!
