I was too late yesterday evening to post here, so here I am today, but I don't have much more time neither, so I'll make short.
Yesterday's activity of our advent calendar was a treasure hunt, or kind of. Hubby was the head & hands behind this activity & boy he is good at that ! It took place in the botanical garden, and brrr we were so cold ! We met a furry friend along the way, and the treasure hunt ended in one of our favorite cafés, with latte for the grown-ups & hot cocoa for the little ones ... :)

Today's activity is learning & singing a Christmas song/carol, so there'll be no photo.
This morning I've baked a cake (yoghurt & apple cake, that is) for P's school Christmas fete, which will happen at 04.45pm ... exactly at the same moment as U's school Christmas fete ... isn't that very clever ?! Thankfully U'll be making a little show with his fellows, between 03.30 & 04.30pm, so that hubby will stay with him for the "snack" part of the fete, while I'll be heading, around 04.35pm, to P's fete.

Tomorrow will be equelly busy as I'll be away all morning to go to the hairdressers' at my inlaws' village, and then, after lunch hubby & I will go to Ikea. And as soon as we'll be back home, we'll go grab the boys at school, and they'll be on Christmas break until January 03rd 2010. No time for getting bored, right ?
Oh, before leaving, I wanted to show you the seasonal display of a very traditional toy shop that is actually two streets from our appartment. Absolutely dreamy, don't you think ?

OK, sweeties, gotta go now. Have a most wonderful Thursday ! :) Stay warm & cozy oxox

Oh, tresure hunt, lovely! <3 I don't think I have ever done something like it with my parents as a kid... U and P are so lucky to have you and Chris! :) You are both so creative!
ReplyDeleteGood night and sweet dreams!
What a fun treasure hunt and that toy window is just absolutely dreamy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic family treat! I bet the boys absolutely loved this one. I see you're in the middle of the busy-ness of the season, crazy but fun isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteHello! First, thank you so much for your card! It came in the post yesterday or the day before. I appreciated it so much :o)
ReplyDeleteTreasure hunts are so much fun :) We've done a few at Halloween before and the boys loved them. I like your idea of an outdoor one though and your furry friend :)I'm sitting here drinking coffee out of my favourite shiny red Starbuucks mug and so feeling very festive. I love the photo of the toy shop window....fantastic :) Hope you are all doing well and have settled in to your newish place~ I'm sure you are enjoying being close to your families again. Lots of love to you xo
I love the toy shop window, how beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWell, have you had any snow? We've had quite a lot, and apparently it is headed/or has already made it to other parts of Europe. You never know, you might get some! ;o) I couldn't resist blogging about it today.
No, no time for being bored when children are around! The treasure hunt sounds like a lovely idea. We spent a bit of time out in the snow this morning. I made a very half hearted attempt at a snowman, but it was too cold so I gave up!
Got to go. Have a lovely evening and a festive and cosy weekend xx
edgar, arwen and byron all want to say hello to the lovely french cousin you found.
ReplyDeletelots of love,
