Only one day to go, and we'll be in December. Wow. Phew. Argh. What a super busy month ahead. Hubby is going to have three very very busy weeks, therefore I'll be myself really extra busy. Days are never going to be long enough, and way too long at the same time, ah !
I'm almost done with the ideas of activities for the Advent Calendar, which I'm happy to say, has been mentionned {here} & {here} (thanks Whip Up & The Crafty Crow !). I have to be very careful about which day each activity will happen, as I may need (or appreciate LOL) the help of another adult for some of them. Some of them will be taken care of by hubby, too. Sweet hubby also had a lovely idea for adding a little extra fun for the boys, which I did my best to make come true, very simply. He thought about a two pages booklet, with the 24 days written inside, and 24 stickers to stick each day an activity is done. I love the idea & quickly gather the very few materials I thought I needed to make this : one sheet of white cardboard (bristol), a rule, a pencil, rubberstamps & ink.
I cut the A4 size sheet of cardboard paper in half, which made me two A5 rectangles. I folded them in half. I stamped the front with letters, numbers & a Christmas themed big stamp (that I've been having for so many years, and never did make a lot of use ...) to write (in French) "Advent Calendar 2009" + their respective name, and then I made a grid of 24 squares on the right side in the inside. I stamped each and everyday. Then I looked for my tiniest stamp that could fit a holiday theme, and I found a pine cone one that I had bought on Etsy at NoraJane earlier this autumn. Then I stamped around 60 tiny round white labels, yes more than 2 x 24, because I thought the boys would love to use them for something else ...

Simple, quite effective, and I hope, fun for the boys !
I wanted to add that, because of the extreme busyness of this coming month, because of the Activity Advent Calendar, because I also am crafting for the shop, because I really MUST start crafting for the Christmas presents ... I have decided several things ...
- I will blog daily about our activity of the day, but most of the time, it will be only the photo & a short description (until the 24)
- I will also blog about what I've crafted for the { Shop }
- I originally wanted to host a giveaway BEFORE Christmas, but this is so NOT going to happen ... on the other hand, I'm clapping hands at the idea of preparing a week of little giveaways Post-Holidays Version !! Wouldn't it be a lovely idea ?!
OK, I really must go now.
Lots of hugs to everyone, and have a good week !
