Sorry for the awful title but I don't have a better title. Sometimes I wonder if I shall make a title for my posts. I don't write very important things, nor passionating ones, so who cares about a smart title anyway ?! Oh well.
Busy as usual. I posted yesterday at { Naturally Dyeing }, but about a quite unsuccessful experiment. But as I wrote there, I won't get discouraged by such a thing, and it makes me eager to try something new, which I hope (but I shouldn't have expectations, more particularly with dyeing with plants experiments !) will be a bit more successful. Even with such barely visible results, I had tons of fun with the photo making !
I wants to share a couple of photos for the ones of you who don't follow me on Flickr. These are on the way to the boys' schools.

As you can see, I cut holly leaves in the security envelopes, and stamped the holly berries with the tiny round stamp I had handcarved last year, on kraft paper (A4 sized, folded in two, then in two again). I reused this stamp, and the holly leaves too (from last year too) for stamping red envelopes. (100% recycled paper) I machine-sewed the cards so that they make double cards.
My mom was here today (since yesterday evening) so we've been very very busy cleaning, hoovering, dusting, ironing, changing bed linens ... so that in the possibilty I'd get very busy (with that project that may happen), I wouldn't be bothered for a week with the biggest houseworks. I'm so thankful for such a helpful mom. :) I even baked apple + chocolate chips muffins, that we'll have the next couple of days as breakfast. Now it's almost dinnertime, so I'll leave you with a photo I took right before I closed the shutters. It was 06.55pm.
I hope you had a pleasant middle of the week, everyone. I'll do my best to visit you these next few days. xoxoxo stay well my friends !

I may be very busy the next couple of weeks, and I'm waiting an important email about that. But maybe I won't. But in case I will, I'm trying to be up to date with all the things I wanted to do this holiday seasons. So, I started making my holiday cards. I've been thinking about them for a couple of days now, and I wanted to make these, reusing something else. So what do you think I've reused, one more time ...... eheh security envelopes of course ! LOL This is how they look like.

you have me at the edge of my chair wanting to know if you will be really busy or if you won't and what pray tell you might be busy with. I have a very big imagination and it is even worse when I have worked so many hours today. Hugs dear sweet sonia. I love your holiday cards. I now officially have my secretary saving all security envelopes in my office so if you ever run short , you know who to email:)
ReplyDeleteYes, titles are hard for posts, I would agree with that :)
ReplyDeleteLovely holiday cards! I am hoping for you that your project happens.. sounds exciting!
Neat cards:)
ReplyDeleteI was planning on doing our Christmas cards this weekend as well with the girls.
Good luck with your projects!
Oooh, you tease! I can't wait to hear what your "maybe" is.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the natural dyeing posts too. I haven't had as much time to comment as I would like, but I am checking in and feeling so inspired. I can't wait to try some more dyeing myself.
Take good care, my sweet and talented friend. xoxo
