We don't get much of a colorful autumn, in the south. I miss so much the vibrant colors of the ornamental maples around Chessy. They made the best autumns. Over here, we have tons of Platanus × hispanica (London plane ... what a fun name, isn't it ?), and these, ladies, doesn't get much colors at all. Oh well ... I had the idea of going to the botanical garden, I thought we'd find more colorful trees, there. Well, there wasn't many ... but I did find one.

But of course I saw other marvels.

We gathered some leaves, and chestnuts, and also a Celtis australis fruit.
Once home I used the frame of the second inspiration/idea board -still unfinished btw-, and made a little and easy installation.

On Sunday, we had a stay-at-home kind of day. I crafted, Chris cooked, the boys played, I ironed, the boys crafted too, Chris made pancakes and we had organic apple cider with them (oooh yum), the boys did some chemistry with their dad, I cut my three guys' hair ... just to name a few.

Now it's Monday noon, and I must take the boys back to school & go shopping for food, so I must really go.
One last thing ... try to see beauty where you usually don't see it ...
... see what I mean ?!
Have a great start to the new week, my dears. And take care.
xoxo

ReplyDeleteHi Sonia! It's interesting about the areas of France that get fall color. The east coast of the US is best for leaf-peeping, as we call it. ;) Did you ever watch the TV show Gilmore Girls? That takes place in New England area and the opening credits show the most amazing fall colors. Like you, I have to look harder for fall color in SoCal. (((Hugz)))
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Sonia...guess what arrived in the post today?!!! Thank you so much - how fast was that? I shall be munching on chocolate all week!
ReplyDeleteBased on your recent infatuation with polaroid pictures i am putting out a request for the next music video. The outcast song "HEY YA"
ReplyDeleteOf course you and hubby have to dance along so you might need to mount the camera on a tripod.
