{ Cravings }

I know some of you live in parts of the world that didn't get much of a "real", warm, sunny summer, this year. (hi Kia !) But moving to Montpellier, I knew this summer would feel so hot, specially after two summers spent around Paris. And it was. Gosh that was quite a slap, we hadn't lived in such hot temps for the last two years & I had totally got used to that Parisian always-grey-or-always-rainy-but-always-cozy kind of weather. I knew I'd be missing the rain, the heavy clouds, the chill weather ... so that's what I'm craving right now !
Just in case you're wondering what I'm craving exactly (but not exhaustively ...), I spent a moment digging into my photo archives, and found my favorite photos, all taken on 2007 & 2008 (except one of them, taken this morning), and here they are. Now a little more in details ...

♥ leaves changing colors, falling on the ground
♥ rain & all the cozyness it brings
♥ fungi and snails
♥ that special light
♥ wearing layers (turtle necks & wooly delights)
♥ drinking warm drinks, such as lattes or herbal teas
♥ eating spice biscuits or baking muffins
♥ fruits & veggies of the season : apple, pear, grape, fig, pumpkin ... and so many more !
♥ crafting away in the evening, a blanket of your lap
♥ making your home, bedroom look more inviting, cozier
♥ reading autumn themed children books
♥ eating candy apple, mmm
♥ and .... going back to school ... that's what both my boys will be doing tomorrow morning.

So, in the meantime, I'd love to read ...
♥ if you're craving autumn, or not (Kia, I know your answer LOL)
♥ if so, what you love more particularly about autumn season

Have a great start of September, my friends !! Take care !

  3. Oh, I love Fall, it's my favorite season, next to Spring. Here, where we moved,it's come a lot sooner than I'm used to, but compared to the super hot/humid Summer I an really enjoying it

  4. Gorgeous photos... as always!

I love autumn too, and probably for the same reason you are craving it. By this time, in the South, we are desperate for a respite from the heat. Unusually, the first couple of days of September have already been milder. The evenings and mornings have been especially nice and cool the past couple of days. We usually don't see milder weather around here until October!

  5. Yes, yes, I am definitely an Autumn lover!! I love everything about the season, the colours, the light, the walks in the rain, the smell (particularly the smell, as our neighbour is a big forest), the candle lights, the blankets, just basically the cozyness of it all <3

Best wishes for the boys and their new school, teachers and most importantly, their new friends! I hope all will be well for both of them :-)

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!
    Love and care,

  6. Oh yes, I'm happy that the autumn is here. I love the darker nights and the chillier weather. I love to put on a sweater or a jacket and enjoy the cool breeze. I love to see the stars in the sky and light up a candle in the evening. I love the cozy fire at the fireplace too. I love the autumn, don't really like the rain but it's okay every once in a while.

Hope it'll get cooler down there soon too...

    Hugs,
    mervi
