{ Post-Birthday + Pre-Back to school }

My little handmade, Egyptian pyramid themed card for my 5 y-o (machine-sewn with blend felt)

First of all, thank you so much, my friends, for all the warm & sweet birthday wishes you left here or at my Flickr for my little guy ! He was so thrilled that so many people thought about him !He had a great day, was gifted the big Playmobil pyramid (he'd been wanting it & waiting for it for months and months) & a book about Egypt. Yep, he would like to be an archeologist when he'll be grown up ! :D

My little project (which involved the materials shown yesterday) is going along nicely, and is almost at its end, I'm pretty happy about that. If it works fine, a second one (the exact copy) will be done. (which should be the case) Chris has helped me making this, and I really appreciate that part. His hands // My hands

Tomorrow morning we're going to the beach, on Friday/Saturday we'll be at my inlaws', on Sunday/Monday my mom will come here, Chris and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary on Sunday (30th Aug), and on Thursday 03rd September, the boys will be back at school. Pretty busy, right ? I guess it'll be the same for some of you, my friends & mamas to little ones who'll soon go (back) to school.
I'll try to post, but don't worry if I'm a bit silent. I think time is not really on my side these days.
I hope you're enjoying lovely days of late August, I can't believe how fast this summer went by. Crazy. Good crazy, but crazy anyway ! :D
xoxoxoxo Please take good care, my friends !

  5. I missed U's bd. Sorry about that. I really haven't been around much this week, and it will be the same next week. Bill has his two week summer holiday and I know you understand perfectly how spending time with my little family is more important than the 'net. And to be honest, I've lost enthusiasm for it at the moment, though I'm not sure why.

    Hope you have a wonderful weekend and that U enjoyed his birthday. Congrats on your anniversary! Thursday marked my parents 43rd wedding anniversary! Imagine that!

    Time I was off. Happy sewing, whatever your project is it will turn out well. Busy lady!

  6. Hi Sonia,
    I've been meaning to get here all week and finally I've done it. Your new storage space from Ikea looks superb, how lovely to have all that space to organise!
    And how delightful that little U has such an interest! Very advanced for his age I must say, did he study it at school before the summer or has he picked it up from P? Over here they don't really do the Egyptians until they're about 8 I think. Playmobil is so great for encouraging things like that though. We go back to school the same day as your boys do. I expect they will be very excited and maybe a little apprehensive about going to a new school. I hope they have a lovely first day.
    Happy Anniversary for tomorrow!
    Love, Nikki x
