See you later (again)

Aaaaaaaaah hello everyone ! How much I missed you all !!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who took time to stop during this past week. I did appreciate ! I bet you'd like to know how the things happened.
Well, the last two days of packing were VERY busy (really) but I suppose you would have guessed. That day, we were aware of a fraud on our credit card (around 900 euros, thanks) which got us very worried. (it's been cleared now, thank goodness) The moving day was long but went OK. Then we spent the evening/night at my friend's, and had a nice time. It was touching being with her one last time before moving. I'll miss her very much. :(
The day after the moving day was long as well, we had the appartment verification in the morning (stressful), we took the train ... and I took some embroidery to work on for these almost 4 hours trip.We had a busy end of the day (going to Ikea ordering some furniture & taking some with us too, among other things) We stayed at the hotel, it was way more practical. Then it was the day the movers came. Oh my word. It was soooooo horribly hot these days. The day we arrived (June 30th) it was 36°C at 10am. The day the movers came was about the same. They arrived late (03.30pm), it was VERY laborious (we live at the 2nd floor with no lift), and Chris even had to help them. They finished at 11.30pm, we were so worn out that we were out of this world. We don't want to live that ever again. The day after we went to grab the boys at my parents'.Do I have to mention we were VERY eager to get our babies back ? (um, U had a sorethroat during that time, of course) Since then, we've been trying to get used to the place, the surroundings, etc. We've unpacked 3/4 of the boxes, which is rather good.I'm sorry I'm not able to return visits, I'm leaving this afternoon with the boys to stay at my inlaws' until Saturday morning, as Chris will be in Paris on the 07th & in Corsica (like in 2008 & 2007) on the 08th/09th/10th. So I'm sad to tell you all goodbye once again. See you next weekend, then. I missed you all so much this past week, and will miss you another week. :( I hope you've not suffered from the heat. Have a great week everyone !! Much love your way ! Will be back FOR GOOD next Saturday ! xoxoxo

  3. Love to you and your family. We missed your posts and pictures so very much. You have probably already left but if you are able you might find my post today just what your friend the doctor ordered. Your embroidery is amazing and it looks like you and I have the same technique of using little nature guides to lead our needles pulling thread. I have experienced credit card fraud and also bank card theft so I can completely relate to that nasty feeling. Hugs , sweet sonia.

  5. I had a horrible feeling you would be moving in the middle of a heatwave. Ours reached 30oC which was more than hot enough, and I was able to do nothing more than stay at home with little one. So you have my complete sympathy. If I have to listen to anyone else telling me that 30oC 'isn't that hot' or it's 'nice weather' I am going to scream. I'm sure it's lovely if you have air con!!!!!

Well hopefully that bulk is done, and once this weekend comes around you can settle in and make your new house a home. :) So glad you are reunited with your boys, I know I couldn't stand to be apart from my baby either. xxxx

  6. Hello Sonia, I have been thinking of you so much lately, moving is never fun but moving in summer during a heat wave sounds even tougher. I hope you have a good week at your in laws. It is sad to say good bye to friends, hopefully you'll be keeping in touch & visiting soon. Paris sounds much closer to Montpellier than New York to the Gulf Coast.
You're in my thoughts, big hugs
