I love to read your thoughts on this, so interesting! I think that elusive balance of all of the necessary, important and enjoyable parts of life is such a common one (well for me anyway). I hope you are settling in well to your new place.
Hi Sonia, what a nice journal entry. I understand as well.Funny, I was just thinking this myself this morning as I worte my new entry.I wondered if anyone else would notice how many times I wrote 'I' and changed a few to 'we'...and if anyone cared about my move and paint color choices. Also if my posts included to many personal non creative things. But 'I' ( ;) ) think it's good to write about what you're doing other than crafting sometimes. It helps the readers and blogging friends get to know you better. Keep up the good work.I love reading your blog:)
Hi Sonia, what a great way to post & a great entry. I have missed you & I hope your life in Montpellier is going to be wonderful. Glad your move went well & that you're finally home. It's difficult to write a diary without lots of "I". It's great to read that you want to keep your diary, I would really miss you. Have a great week Sis! Hugs
Sonia, so lovely to have you back. Thanks for you sweet message last night, it made me smile :) I have a little something for you to post off tomorrow. Big deadline today to meet then free to concentrate on other important things like catching up with friends. What a lovely post and one I think we all can relate to so well. I love reading other peoples' posts too I just don't have time for many and have tried to limit them, but it's difficult. I do now concentrate on friends and favourites and try not to get carried away with links elsewhere. Your embroidery is always lovely but these little paintings are very pretty too! Will love seeing more of them. Have a great week, Joanie x
Hi Sonia...I soo empathise with you. My days are so full and I barely get enough time to sit down at the computer...let alone post or visit anyone. so wise of you to keep things balanced in your life. I hope you continue to settle into your new home and look forward to enjoying your writing again soon :) Love the idea for this post :) take care! xo
I'm afraid I don't have time to read your handwritten notes properly at the moment Sonia, but I will come back when I have more time and do so. Readying Tanya's comment I can glean that you are talking about the amout of time taken up by the computer, and Oh, I so hear you! I no longer feel any guilt about not being able to make return visits or not writing each day, I just don't have the time and that's with only one child to look after. People with more than one (you, Tanya, Kara) amaze me with all you are able to do AND write about it too. I just can't do it. I really can't. I've tried and admit defeat! I try to write in my written diary as much as I can because there are things that I want to remember but are private, so can't blog about it. Anyway, I might be totally off the mark, but like I say, I will have to come back when I've got more time to read through properly.
I hope you are settling in well, and enjoying your new home. :)
Hi Sonia, it feels so personal to read your handwritten diary. I can hear you talking, seeing your beautiful handwritting makes it feel more real...does that make sense?
I understand how torn you can feel about the time you/we spend on our pc's, but, you know, I honestly have had times in the past year when reaching out and just reading blogs has been as important as seeing a close friend. Life has been very hard, and I have loved getting "lost" in others lives, especially yours. I feel honoured to read your diary, honoured. I am squeezing your hand (over the internet), I wish you guys all the very best in your new adventure, and look forward to sharing it with you.
You write so beautifully, you've made me cry, much love sweetie. Take good care XXx
*kisses*
Sonia, I read all of this the other day and did not have time at the end to respond... but I wanted to say that I hear you and I really appreciate your expression. Being expressive in the world can be an interesting challenge. I always enjoy what you share, even if it is about what you had for dinner and what household chores you finished that day :) It is the act of sharing that counts and is what this is all about. I think we all need to relate in some of the simplest of ways. We all take care of simple daily things, have complex thoughts and ideas, experience a multitude of feelings about a multitude of things... and we do this each in our own way and yet so similarly to one another in many other ways. This is what brings us all together I think, in the land of blogging - connecting from around the world on common ground. I appreciate you and your words and your artistry and even your way of doing simple daily things. So, thank you Sonia! I am really happy you are here. xo
Sonia, it is so wonderful to see you back! I love the online journal - it's facinating to me to take a peek into your life. I love seeing the crafts, and the new watercolors are remarkable!
Hi Sonia! Are you back finally? I loved reading your notebook journal! I missed you a lot too!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to follow your online diary and you don't need to edit anything. I do find bits of myself when I read your blog, oops diary hehehe.
