It's already 10.15pm & I should have posted this way earlier but I've been busy like a little bee, I wonder when it will stop, as I'll be equally busy AFTER the move, for all the unpacking ! Oh well.
Like the title says, I wanted to let everyone knows that the shop will be open until June 26th, after that day I will put it on "Vacation Mode" as Etsy says itself. I don't know exactly when I reopen though. Probably some time around mid July, but maybe earlier if everything goes smoothier than I think.
Here are a couple of photos of the little collection I had made with a bit of honeysuckle (in bloom over here right now) & some of the things that make my heart beat faster ... I hope you like it too.
Today was the 3rd birthday of my friend's (the one who'll be hosting Chris & I on the moving day) son, and I absolutely wanted to give him something. But I knew he'd be getting lots of toys & games (I'm not really fond of offering too many toys, even on a birthday), and I knew I wanted to make him something. I had an idea suddenly & put it into effect. A little framed "mixed-media" artwork. I machine-sewed a car made of salvaged fabrics (a yellow napkin & black cordoroy from Chris' trousers) & I added a bit of watercolor. Ta da ! Handmade from the heart, inexpensive & cute. I had the boys made a card (each) for him too, and everything was already offered & appreciated. His mom (my friend) also appreciated the fact that I managed to make it while I'm so close to the moving day. Truly it was nothing, and I would have made something more elaborate (and probably not a framed artwork, what exactly I don't know but something better than that) if I had had more time than that.
After I painted the little artwork, I had remnants of paper & I had just bought black drawing pencils (sorry it's probably not the correct name for these, but nevermind) & tried a little doodling on this piece of paper, covered with trials of watercolor.
I suddenly realized that I never ever doodle. I've never doodled just for the fun of it, and I think I may start doodling, it probably has some kind of therapeutic aspect. If you like seeing other people's doodles, you may interested in these Flickr groups : Doodles Sketches and Scribbles in Pen or Pencil, Doodle Masters . And one thing leading to another, you often doodle in a notebook or ... a Moleskine ..., then you may enjoy visiting these Flickr groups : My Moleskine, Moleskine Alchemists, Moleskinerie.
OK, girls, must stop here. I hope your Tuesday was as good as mine. Oh, btw, Chris & I managed to understand what was wrong with the fridge & it's now working properly, phew, thank goodness !

Love your collection of treasures. Our honeysuckle is in full bloom too, and I love it. I love almost all scented flowers. :O)
Ok, time I was off. Little one is distracted watching 'Waybuloo', a new Cbeebies programme. It's a bit wierd, the Piplings float and they appear to do yoga too, but little one loves it so it gives me a bit of time to pop on here!
