Where shall I start ?

Well, I shall probably start by wishing you a lovely month of May, I guess ! You may have wondered why on earth I hadn't posted last Friday ... well, it was a bank day in France (1st of May = Labour Day) so Chris was off.

Friday
We spent the day in and around Disney. Places we usually didn't go, and as we have our eyes open, we managed to see a grey heron VERY close (probably a meter from us), which was totally amazing !Grey Heron's binominal name (aka Latin name) is Ardea cinerea. We also saw something unusual to us as well ... Canadian geese (Brenta Canadensis) & their goslings ! Look how adorable they looked !Then we walked back home, after a long & tiring day, and blew some more dandelion clocks !
Saturday
Well, we went to the Palais de la Découverte , one of our favorite places in Paris. We want to make the most of it before we move, and before it maybe closes forever. We enjoyed the last day of the olfactive exhibition that took place all winter/spring long (and which we visited several times), and attended only one experiement/workshop, about color & light. That was neat & we all loved it.I was inspired as well by shell collections, and also pretty foliage fossils. We also walked to WHSmith bookstore to look at books, magazines, for me to get new Moleskines to embellish, and also we bought a can of Golden Syrup & a box of biscuits by the same brand. (Biscuits dipped in Belgian chocolate, by Lyle's Golden Syrup - see next photo)

Sunday
Well, we spent all morning cooking, practically. Sunday is also the day our faithful coffee maker (Magimix, Nespresso) decided to give its one last breath, after ten years of loyal services. So, it's been more than a day that Chris & I are coffee deprived ! LOL We are not coffee addicts but we simply love coffee & Nespresso's coffee is very good. We looked for a new machine (crossing fingers that it will last ten more years - um, one can dream ...) & Chris shall stop tonight to get it. (OK OK OK now you can say we're addicted) LOL So this photo shows the last coffees we drank, along with the biscuits we bought the day after, at WHSmith's.
Well, girls, it's Monday now, and time has already split into my fingers, I'm so so so sorry if I owe you a visit. I'm feeling that the more we're getting close to June, the more I'm getting tired & feeling overwhelmed. And don't seem to find time for this blog. PLEASE don't be too much surprised if I don't blog as often as I used to, I'm still wondering if I'll be able to blog much in June. Oh well, I'll see.

I hope you all had a delightful weekend. Happy first week of May, my friends ! May the sun shine on you all month long ! xoxoxo

  1. great minds! I was just about to trot over to yours when I saw your comment! :O)

Ah, dandelion clocks. Humbug has just discovered the joy of these, and I got a great photo of her on Friday, just about to puff away the little flowers!

You've had a busy weekend! Sounds like a lovely one though.

Gosh, I'm not surprised you are feeling overwhelmed and will probably blog less. You have lots to do and not much time in which to do it! You move so soon, time really has flown. You are going to be a busy bee this month, that's for sure.

Time I was off. Have a lovely Monday :o) xx
