Three days weekends are great, oh boy they really are, but blogging about three days at once is another task ! I'm sorry I'm short on time, once again, I must go out shopping for food & to the post office, all before noon, and I can't afford to spend an hour preparing a blog post. My mom will arrive tomorrow before noon, and I don't want to go shopping for food then, so I'll do this today. So, please once again, excuse me for a short post words-wise, but for a long post photo-wise.
To make long short ...
Thursday was field trip, remember ? It went great, apparently, Chris enjoyed for the first time the joys of taking care of several excited children at the same time, and the joys of sick children in the bus. (yeah, yeepie) U had a great time, and so did P. (did another field trip) That was the day I was on my own, at home, and all I can say is that the day went by in a wink of an eye, and after I did all of my housework, and went shopping for food (yes, it had to be done that day !), and Chris went back home from the trip way earlier than I had planned, well ... I ended sewing for an hour, and maybe even less ! Ugh, I'm so bad at making time for myself, aren't I ?
Friday was a bank day in France, so Chris was off. So we went to Disneyland, but didn't do much at all, as a pee (U)incident brought us back home earlier than planned in the afternoon.
Saturday : we stayed home, except the morning. We went to the health store, to Starbucks for a late breakfast, and to a shoe outlet shop (Made in France, if you please, and this is no patriotism from my part, it's just that it's VERY hard to find French made shoes nowadays, and excellent quality at that)
Sunday morning was filled with P super grumpiness. We had to cook a bit in advance for the next days ahead, too. I also finally managed to be up to date with my Himalaya of clothes to iron, good grief !!! We decided to go outdoors while the weather was still fine (and we were so right) & took the express train to go to the nearest wood area we know. (just a station from here, though) We had a fantastic time there, seeing tons of beautiful flowers & bugs, and blowing dandelions clocks almost all afternoon. That was a memorable time, more particularly because it was probably the last time we went there before we move.
OK, now photos ... in chronological order. Enjoy !

Phew, that was a loooooot of photos, right ?! I hope you enjoyed though !
I hope all mamas who celebrated this day, had a great Mother's Day. It will be later in June over here.
Chris will take the train tonight to go to Montpellier, as he'll have four appointments there tomorrow, two are for finishing to enroll the boys at their future schools, and the two other appointments are for the boiler annual maintenance & for the town gas. He'll be back tomorrow evening late.
I wish you all a lovely week ahead, and send you all tons of love today. xoxoxox

Sonia,
ReplyDeleteDo you realize how absolutely exquisite this round of photos is!!! I've always loved what you do with your camera, but these were the best!!! I loved each one so much! #15 is my favorite flower in my garden, a blue scabiosa. It won't bloom here until June, at least. Glad you had such a wonderful three days... I know how easy that day alone can get filled up before you get to your own time:) Have a lovely week and thanks for your extra sweet wishes today!
xox,
maya
Beautiful photos Sonia!!! I love them all. It is easy to imagine being in a soft, warm, breezy, beautiful natural area. Thank you for the little journey :) I think of you often as your move approaches. It is an interesting time while saying goodbye to things so familiar.
