Well, friends, last week wasn't much like I thought it would be. It's been a bit tough on me as I had both boys at home on wednesday, U on Thursday (absent teacher) then P was sick, so both boys on Friday too (doctor included & sickness included) Sure it's a blessing to be able to take care of them at home, and I'm very aware of that. Lots of games & activities were done during those days. (and unfortunately all the rest had to be done on these days too)

This weekend we didn't go anywhere and stayed home. Slow. You can call it a slow weekend (even though lots of houseworks were done, and that Chris had to work a loooot this weekend too, poor man -he worked till 01.30am this night-) Of course the boys had to be up even earlier than weekdays, which didn't help us feeling less tired. P was not sick but not completely fine neither, which in a way broke any given plans for the weekend. But, anyway.
We enjoyed many coffees ...

Good food was enjoyed too (this is
seitan aka wheat gluten, here sautéed with olive oil & garlic, organic tomatoe sauce on the side)

My new perfume, Honey & Lemon, by
L'Occitane (early birthday gift, and also because I finished all the ones I had gotten over the years) ... just love both the fragrance & the bottle behuve design.

Lots of games, educational or not, were played ...

Yesterday afternoon we had a walk in the neighborhood, and picked simple & little things that filled my heart with joy. Seeds & a snail shell. Soft colors, sweet textures, I love.

I crafted a tiny little bit on Saturday (more tomorrow about that), and managed, while Chris was working hard at the computer, to sort out a ton of papers, which I've been wanting to do for a (too) long time. It's almost 100% done & I'm relieved.
OK, girls, must go. Both boys are in school, and I must go buy bread among other things, before I go pick them. I hope you had a nice weekend. Slow or fast, busy or relaxing. But I hope, a good one. Much love xoxo
sounds like you have had a lot on your plate recently Sonia. It is hard to juggle looking after little ones and doing all the stuff that absolutely has to be done each day. I mean, who would eat or wear clean clothes each day if Mum wasn't there to deal with it all 'behind the scenes'? Quite. Sorry Chris has been working such long hours too. :o(
ReplyDeleteHope today is a good day for you. After a gloomy start weatherwise here, it's turning quite sunny now. I hope it's the same for you
xxxx
Hi Sonia! Sounds like a busy time at home. Hope the boys are feeling well. I have Ryan today so I always marvel at how you moms get housework done. All I'm doing is chasing after him all day long! Napping now so returning visits. Thanks for your concern for KAli! Enjoy Easter week ahead! (((Hugz)))
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia, hope your boys are feeling better. The seitan sounds lovely mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteYour new perfume sounds wonderful too, love the bottle.
Hope Chris isn't working too hard. Love to you XXXX
