OK, so our weekend in a few sentences ...
We went to Paris on Saturday, and spent almost 7 hours straight in the Palais de la Découverte (science museum), and after that we walked along the Seine banks, the sun shone all day long that day, and made the scenery a bit magical I must admitt. We went to WHSmith to get Country Living (UK version), a few Moleskine, & books for the boys. Then we went to Le Bon Marché (huge store) where I bought plexi beads & patchwork fabrics. We went back home really late ! I'm inviting you to check the photos I posted on Flickr here !
We stayed home all Sunday, and did lots of little things such as houseworks, building volcanoes just for fun, playing, cooking, crafting, drinking coffees, and watching Mary Poppins in probably 4 acts through the day. I had bought the DVD many years ago but wanted to keep it for when the boys could appreciate it to its fullest. P was so thrilled (I was so happy about that !) and U was happy but I think he's still a bit young to enjoy fully.

The appartment hunt has already started & today Chris told me that one was likely to interest us, even though it's available rigth now & that we'd have to pay 2 1/2 double rents. (OUCH) As I was typing this, he phoned me & told me that he had booked a trip to Montpellier next Tuesday so that he'll go visit this place, and it may be the right one for us. Can't tell you how excited I'm getting, but I know nothing is sure yet.
I must admitt that the move is more & more on my mind these days. It's too hard not to think about it, and I can't believe we're already at the end of March ! In a wink of an eye, school year will be over & we'll be in the middle of the move ! I'm sorry but I feel I'm going to bore you often with the whole move thing. I'm starting to feel melancholic already when I talk to friends here, knowing that in three months from now, we won't see them anymore & won't talk to them again neither. After two years, it's a bit tough. And I'm not even thinking about the boys & their own friends ... pfff. Makes me so sad, even though I know they'll be making friends again & that we move for the best, always for the best. It's hard to leave things, people & memories behind, even when you're going elsewhere, for something just as good, if not better.
Ok, must dash ... I wanted to go jogging, but I won't, it's too late now, or I'll be late to go picking the boys. Nevermind, we'll do some workouts this evening. I hope you all had a great weekend. Have a super nice start of the week, my friends ! Take care ! oxoxox
Hi Sonia! Beautiful photo and I agree that the sun always makes things so magical... especially if it's making the water sparkle. Sounds exciting about the apartment Chris has found.. hope it is the one! Have a wonderful week ahead! (((Hugz)))
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty picture 'frames'!How do you do it?
ReplyDeleteMy Mom and I made a weekly(or so) trip to WH Smith as a treat for us to get some English magazines.I wonder if it still looks the same?
You've reminded me of our potential move soon too, and how I should be packing instead of procrastinating...I am not nearly ready :0
bonne journee-
Andrea
Hi Sonia, what a great photo of Paris, I love the way the sun shines, it always looks so much better with bright sunshine. You missed my new post by a few hours this morning, it was lovely to find your comment. I hope your week is starting well, hugs

ReplyDeleteOh Sonia I hear the worry in your words. Moving is hard, full of mixed feelings. I understand. Talk about it, I'll listen XXX
ReplyDelete7 hours in the science museum!!! OH My! you deserve a HUGE medal for that, I know your boys must have loved every minute.
I adore your new craftings.
Its strange not visiting you everyday...no pressure I promise, just strange. Miss you loads, but I know you're there (does that make sense?)
Happy Monday my friend XXXXXXXX
