Mostly at home

We had planned to go to Paris on Saturday, but the weather was rather gloomy-esque, so we decided to stay home, but we went to Disney (only around the hotels) and had lunch at our beloved Annette's Dinner restaurant. Boy we had fun & yummy ! We'll miss this place so much when we'll have moved, how silly is that ?! After lunch we went to walk around the hotels, and I took some pics along the way ... of course. Spring is around the corner over here, but somehow the weather was all grey & dark.Even the boys are homebodies these days, which is quite amazing ... We played a lot at home, lots of toys were used, lots of games played. Good fun, simple pleasures.

On Sunday, we had planned to go to Paris (again) but once again the plans were broken. The weather had turned to something really nice, but nope, we decided to stay home, the boys didn't complain, and anyway Chris wasn't feeling really well. :( He cooked quite a bunch ...Mmmmm ... these potatoes were pure delight ! (a bit boiled -15mn-, then in the oven -30mn- with olive oil, squished garlic & some herbs ... yum) I also baked prune/apple/cinnamon/oat rolls muffins, and we'll have them for breakfast for the next days. :) I crafted here & there this weekend, and will show & tell you tomorrow.

Today, Monday, the sun is still shining, and it feels so great !It feels like spring at last, and brings so much warmth (in all ways) to home ...Chris wasn't feeling much better so he went to the doctor's this morning (it's 10.55am as I'm typing) and he doesn't have anything special but coughs like mad & he'll have some X-rays done this afternoon as he had had pneumonia a year ago almost exactly. Not something we want to see again, thanks. So, for once, we had a cuppa together, once the boys were home ... can't wait for these moments to be daily pleasures ...Now Blossom Dearie is playing at the Ipod, and I'm going to cut Chris' hair. It was planned to be done yesterday but he wasn't great enough to feel like getting his hair cut. I had cut the boys' though & it was SO MUCH needed, eeek ! My three guys have a very quick hair growth, that's amazing ! It would cost us a fortune if they had to go each month or every three weeks to the hairdresser's !! Buying a professional razor was more than clever. And it saves us time too.
OK, must go now. I hope you all had a great weekend, my friends ! Take good care & have a supersonic start of the week ! But ... remember to slow down & smell the flowers, OK ?
oxoxo

PS : as I'm not bloggin on weekends anymore, I won't link to Minuscule videos anymore, but if you go to a previous post (on Saturdays), you can click & see them directly on You Tube.

  1. I hope Chris is on the road to recovery soon Sonia, and that the x-ray can come up with a quick solution. No, pneumonia is not something to get again.

sounds like a lovely weekend. Our weather was very spring like, and is again today. Little one and I have had a 'tea party' for lunch, and this afternoon we will spend time out in the garden. I've just been sorting out her new bubble machine for that purpose! :O)

have a lovely start to the week, and thank you for stopping by at the weekend.

    :O) xx

  2. Hi Sonia, sorry Chris is not well, I hope he feels better very soon. Your weekend sounds fun, you can have a full feeling of spring on my blog, I just posted more photos. The potatoes look delicious, I always use herbs [herbs de Provence :o)] & also fresh herbs. I hope your week starts well, big hugs Sis!

  3. Hi Sonia! I hope Chris' xrays are clear but they say once you have pneumonia, it returns easily. What is Annette's like? Is it a 50's style diner? I know Disney has places like that and they're fun for kids. I think it's great you can cut hair! Ryan's last haircut was not good and that was done by a pro. We're waiting for it to grow out- the lady layered it which is silly for a baby with fine hair. Enjoy the week ahead! (((Hugz)))
