I'll be short today. I hadn't planned to post but some sad news made me feel like to. Have you read in the news that Brio is on the verge of bankruptcy ? I don't get it. I don't get how you can be the leader of the wooden toys & be in such financial difficulties. Of course I don't have a diploma in economics & finance, but anyway, it's hard for me to admitt they're doing so bad.

We have soooooo many Brio toys at home. Wooden tracks, wooden trains, robots (Networkers) ... so many. We get the boys something by Brio for almost each celebration (Christmas, birthdays), so we have quite a load now ! They play with them almost daily, so I can't possibly imagine that they would stop making & selling toys ! :( And we're not even Swedish, we're French ! OK, maybe we're like specimens, but we're not the only Brio toys lovers !!!

I'll be much longer about our fabulous shopping day in Paris, tomorrow evening. (Chris will leave tomorrow afternoon) I hope you're all doing fine. Much love your way xoxo
Hi Sonia! I agree that Brio makes wonderful toys for kids. Also Legos. Both require lots of imagination. I guess with the bad world economy, people can't afford to buy toys and Brio and Lego are both a little expensive. (PS. I am Swedish!) ;) (((Hugz)))
ReplyDeleteokay, i NEED some of those robots! i've never seen them before. better act fast, i guess!
ReplyDeleteAh, that is so depressing.
ReplyDeleteI had a Brio dog on wheels when I was little that I used to love pulling around. With all of our moves we lost it and I was so sad.I still am.

I did not know Brio was on the verge of bankruptcy. How sad! I just love their wooden toys, and I loved my "dog on wheels" :) it was my fave toy as a kid. And my li'l cousin Isable (she is 3) love her duck on wheels.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Mom, Sonia. I'm ready for a nap (I'm sick), germ-free-hugs ;)
hi sonia, sorry to hear about BRIO! How sad it is! I hope they come back in the future in some form or the other! The global economy really sucks right now. :(
