I know, this is a repeating title, but I find that balancing is even thougher on Wednesdays, when the boys are off school.
I hardly touched this computer since I got up this morning. After Chris left for work, began the parade of houseworks & other duties. Of course always called by the boys for something or anything (or both at the same time), because of quarrels or special requests ... it takes me twice the time to do anything. It's 02pm right now, and like most of the time when I'm typing in my blog, a good cuppa (coffee or café au lait) is next to my left hand. This morning, I : ironed (a lot), emptied/hoovered/cleaned/sorted out the two other closets of the hall {making me finish BDABCM Week 2, yeah !} , hoovered (everywhere, while I was at that !), and cleaned the carpet with my eco-mix. (water/white vinegar/dishes eco-detergent/essential oils), asked the boys (and helped them) sorting out their die-cast cars to give some to charity (and I'm doing the same with our clothes, right now) {see the first photo of today's entry, at the top}, emptied the dishwasher, reloaded it & washed other dishes, emptied the bin, cleaned it, talked to my parents & grandpa at the webcam, took photos of crafts I finished yesterday evening (well half an hour after midnight !!), of course had lunch with the boys ...

and am having a coffee right now ... at last !

See, you think I manage to balance it all, but even though it's true that I'm getting better at it, I'm not that excellent at it, and it's not as quiet here as you'd imagine. AT ALL !!!!!

OK, a whole afternoon is waiting for me now. Some more balancing. Like for each & every of you, young (& crafty or creative) mamas. I'm improving, but it's tough, let me tell you.
BDABCM Week 3 : Hall shelves + kitchen
The shelves residing in the hall contain tons of books, some DVDs & some CDs, and boxes of toys, and other boxes of papers & such.
Of course the kitchen will take me a while, even though it's small. There are always so many things to clean (fridge, oven/microwave/sink/floor/bins/appliances/cupboard ...), and it will be a good occasion to list all of our "stock". (can hardly call that a stock as we have VERY few room & that's why I'm so often at the supermarket & health store !!) Maybe it'd be a good opportunity to make a kind of meme like "what's on my shelves ?" or "what's in my fridge ?" or "what's in my food cupboard ?". What do you think ? And maybe a good opportunity to try to live on our stock till it's over. (and get imaginative at the same time !)
If you need a little magic today, please go read Maya's yesterday blog entry Grandma Bunny. Just what I needed today. A bit of magic & tenderness. (and a lot of craft too ! LOL)
I hope you're having a nice day. It's back to grey, rainy, usual Parisian weather over here. Big hugs to all xoxoxo
Hi sweet Sonia! I've been such a bad blog hopper lately. I've been stuck playing a game on Facebook lol Hope your week is going well. *big hugs*
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia, you make me realise all we do in one day, a busy stay at home mum day, we fit in so much. I should make a list to show the rest of the family, I am sure they think that "fairies" pick up the towels in the bathroom, tidy the breakfast dishes, hoover, clean and good god the laundry.... Maybe I'll stitch a picture saying "there are no faries, just mum" lol.
ReplyDeleteIts weird your boys don't go to school on a Wednesday, our school hours are Mon - Fri 8.50 - 3.20 and they have lunch there. I better go and walk up to collect them. Happy Wednesday. Oh I love the mustard fabric wow. xxx
You and maya's blog certainly add some magic to my day!
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia! Our local schools have minimum days on Wednesday so kids go home at 12:30. Having them all day on Wednesday, I'm sure, makes it hard for you to get all the things you need to accomplish done.
ReplyDeleteAtriums are not a common feature in homes here either but also not unheard of. We want to make good use of it- some people use it for BBQ's, or big cat litter boxes! Ew! (((Hugz)))
Hi Sonia, I hope you're having a lovely Wednesday, it must be different with the children at home. Do they have full weekend too? I like the way you appreciate little things too, hugs
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy day! I have been trying to get decluttered too - it has been slow going. Stella is a little cling-bot today and won't be more than 6 " away. Sigh...maybe tomorrow! hope you have a good rest of the week!
