I need to declutter my creative space every six months, I think. Just to remind yourself what your stash is made of, to see what you may need, and to change your habits, because habits are not good for creativity, according to me. You can have details of these photos on Flickr. (link on the right, at the top)

My creative space is about 1 meter x 1.5 meter, just for you to know. (+ a tower shelf unit full of fabrics, located next to the computer corner)

I'm glad to report that I can see the carpet again, under the printer table & around the leather armchair. LOL I had piled up sooooo many craft books & papers & WIPs ... that I couldn't see it anymore, and that mess was bothering me much. Now all these books are on the shelves behind me when I'm sewing, so therefore what was there had to move too. (do you think I'm preparing my stuff to move .... LOL) So everything has been re-re-re-organized ...and all the papers are being taking care of ... but it'll take me time, I guess. *Ü*
And when you declutter, you find things from the past, that you had forgotten about ... just like old postcards (between 1905 & 1940's) that belonged to my maternal grandparents, and that I'm lucky & thankful to own now. Aren't they precious ...

I hope you're all having a nice weekend ... lots hugs xoxoxo

ReplyDeleteI think that's one of the nicest things about decluttering, finding old treasures that had been forgotten. Trouble is, it can make a good clear out take even longer! Don't you think? Or it does for me, at least.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming you weren't hit by the bad storm, which I'm glad about.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday :o) x

What treasure are your old postcards, do they inspire you? It looks so special. I had no idea there were so many things needed for felt craft. It's pretty amazing. It's a good idea to de-clutter as your move is getting closer, like Sadie, finding treasures slow me down. Have a great week, hugs
