Making.Room

Hello everyone & welcome 2009 with open arms ! :)

Thankfully the boys slept well despite the loud fireworks & a nearby noisy party (till 02am, thanks). I hope you all had a great night, or at least a better night than my mom who was sick all night, my poor sweet mom. I had her on the phone not very long ago & she was already better, thank goodness.

This morning I built a mosaic with Flickr, with lots of pics of my crafts made in 2008. I can't believe that it had been the most creative & craftiest year I ever had ! I'm hoping that every year will get better & better ! LOL So here is a mosaic of it, but you can see it better on Flickr itself, of course. Making room ... yes ... that's what I've started doing a bit everywhere at home. Removing what isn't necessary in 2009 anymore, to make room for all the things of 2009. Message/inspiration boards, etc ... and cleaning at the same time. The top of shelves ... as much as my inbox. I'm planning to be really organized, so I'll share with you here all my happenings, planning, along the way, so I can motivate myself (quite needed) Yesterday evening, I saved all my photos, like I usually do every last day of the month. After two computer crashes, you understand the lesson, right ? This won't happen to me every again. I advice you to do the same if you don't already do it. You'll thank yourself afterwards. :)
So, I'm going to start the BDABCM tomorrow, even though I have more or less started. What's that ? BDABCM will stand for Big Declutter And Big Clean Month. I hope I'll have the motivation to go to the end & have a clean, clear, organized space at the end of the month. My mottos are Less is More, and Simplify. I'll try to stick to these in everything I'll make.

This is going to be my planning :

Week 1 : Toilets & Bathroom.
Cleaning the toilet, sinks, mirrors & bath, the floor, emptying the cupboards, cleaning the shelves, sorting out everything that was inside (keeping/recycling/giving/throwing ...), and putting everything inside again re-organizing at the same time. Sorting the towels.

I'll use my mix of water + vinegar + dish eco-friendly detergent, mint & tea tree essential oils, to wash floor & other places to desinfect.

OK, must go now, but I'll be working on the recipe translation, wristwarmers tutorial, and website revamp ASAP tonight & the coming days.
