Our 4 1/2 son U is amazing. At least for us. He's always been eating fruits, there is hardly a fruit he doesn't like. (which contrasts a lot with his 6 1/2 bro P, who would only eat (raw) apples, banana, pears & kiwis - BUT he's doing better everyday, thank goodness) U's favorite meal is ... raw carrots & hummus (both organic, mind you) And yesterday, we had a bit of raw broccoli for us grownu-ups, for dinner, along with panisse. (kind of roll made out of chickpea, that you cut into slices & fry in olive oil - this is typical from the southern-eastern France, from Marseille to Nice, on the mediterranean coast) So ... this little guy stole a flower of broccoli, and let us know that he adooored that ! (of course, dipped in a bit of organic mayonnaise !) Amazing !

Have a fun & safe Sunday, everyone !! big hugs xoxo
I understand your pride and happiness Sonia. I really do. When I do the weekly shop, I hear so many people telling me that their children/grandchildren won't eat ANY fruit or veg. I always feel so proud when I can say that Humbug happily scoffs everything. I don't even have to disguise food or tell her that broccoli florets are trees, or anything like that.
ReplyDeleteI think it's right that any parent should feel incredibly proud when their child eats any fruit or veg, but even more so with raw, which is the best way of eating it. So well done U, you are amazing!
Have a lovely Sunday, stay warm! xx
forgot to mention how I like your bookmark. That's something I need to make a few of, at the moment I'm just using strips of fabric and ribbon!
ReplyDeleteCoucou Sonia! I know just what you mean about raw veggies and fruits, we are in the exact same situation over here! Sofia has always been a sceptic when it somes ot trying new things, but over the years she has learned to like both veggies and fruits so today she can eat almost anything (unless we are offering her pineapple or cauliflower!!). Linnea on the other hand, can eat just about anything, and she is very eager to try new things too!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful bookmark, ma Sonia, I am sure your friend will be very happy :-)
Enjoy your Sunday sweetie!
Much love your way!
Susanne xxxx
Totally understand your pride, Sonia! Yummy photo of U eating broccoli! :D He is adorable! I just re-sent you my e-mail *fingers crossed* ;) Happy evening, sweetie pie! Ciao from Zeno too!
ReplyDeleteAw Sonia, your little guys are so cool. Its not easy for some children to trust "new" tastes, they're programed to be careful of what they put in their mouths. So its a big step when they try something new, and its super good for them, yay x
ReplyDeleteThe bookmark is beautiful, lovely reds and linen. X
Oh boy, I dunno why you did not get it again... sob. Will resend it in a few mins, ok? :) From Zeno's addy, it always work :) Happy Monday, sweetie, have a happy crafty day!
ReplyDeleteThe bookmark is wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved raw vegetables. My mom says I ate salad when I was two! Unfortunately, my children did not inherit my preferences!
I've been making bookmarks lately....none as cute as yours though.
ReplyDeleteI love veggies...raw or cooked.
My daughter's favourite is hummous and raw carrots also - her favourite lunch!
