Fun.And.Busy.Monday

Happy New Week everyone !

I started this new week on a super nice note when I read the comment to my last entry from Ellie, at Petalplum, letting me know I had won her Dec. 3rd Sew Mama Sew Giveaway !!! (remember, I had let you know) I had entered several giveaways that day, but really didn't think I'd win one !! Oh goodness ! I was so happy I almost fell from my chair !! Ellie is from Australia, and her blog & website are (she's a fabulous crafter & SAHM) really worth a visit, so please pay her a visit if you can ! I'm so thankful I found her blog via Sew Mama Sew !! Thanks so much Ellie ! :) I'm thinking about sharing the love & hosting another giveaway, but I think it will be right into the holidays, or for the new year. I'll have to think about it. :)

Other than that, this morning was pretty full & busy. I had finished my custom order, wrapped it, made it ready to ship (it doesn't seem, but it does take time to make this part !). I also wrote my Christmas cards going to western Europe. (the ones for the US & Canada left last week) I had washed the dishes, hoovered, and had a load of laundry washed & hung to dry. I then left for the pharmacy, the post office (to ship everything), went to the bakery, and two other shops I had to go. I was pretty happy I had managed to get all this done between 09 & 11am.It's grey & cold today, but no rain. A little fog this morning, but not as much as yesterday, when it lasted almost all day long, making the fields look like landscapes from fairytales ! We walked to Disneyland but didn't enter the parks. We stayed around the lake & had a hot beverage at one of the hotels' café. Winter is upon us, Nature was already different but so beautiful anyway.Yesterday's advent activity was done by the boys, but my part of the activity has not been made yet. (eek !) ...
Activities Advent Calendar - Day 7 : the boys had to draw a winter landscape, and I had to make it "real" with felt, with trees & other parts of the drawing being movable. Like on a felt board. See what I mean ? I still have to sew the felt part ! (will show later)
Activities Advent Calendar - Day 8 : printing winter or Christmas themed coloring pages (found online) ... and color them ! (yep, easy for mama today, as I still have to sew yesterday's activity !!)

An hour ago I ordered new Moo mini-cards, I only have one left, from the ten I had had for free with the creation of my Flickr account. Can't wait to get them ! There'll be 100 of them, woohoo !

OK, I'm off to pick the boys at school, so I'll leave you with the last part of the Tailor of Gloucester's Tale. Enjoy ! Have a great start to the new week everyone !! xoxoxo

  1. Your advent calendar activity ideas are great! Would you be willing to compile them all in one post or pdf file when you're done?

    Great photos too!

  2. Hi Sonia! Congrats on being a lucky winter! That'll be a long trip from downunder! Tamales have a masa (corn) dough that is wrapped around different fillings- pork, chicken, chili and cheese- and then wrapped with a corn husk and steamed. I know a site where you can make virtual snowflakes with little pretend scissors. I'll link it up soon and your boys might enjoy doing that on the computer. (((Hugz)))

  3. I am so impressed that you got so much done in two hours! I have so much to do and today I went to a friends all morning for a playdate, had a nap with Stella, mucked around on the computer and went to book club. Not a single productive thing. Although it was a nice relaxing day...I need to get busy tomorrow!
Congrats on the giveaway! how fun for you!

  5. I can't wait to see your Moo cards! I absolutely love mine and am on my 2nd batch of 100! Congratulations on winning the giveaway! I spent most of the day going through the LIST and leaving comments but I didn't win anything! That's okay because I won a giveaway in November :o) I seriously can't believe you did all that stuff in 2 hours! You are my hero ;o)
