A.Real.Christmas.Tale

I must admitt I quite never believed that something (almost) magic could happen in the real life. Do you see what I mean ? If you're interested in a sweet contemporary Christmas tale, then stay with me please.

Once upon a time, there was a 6 year-old little boy who really loved his Brio trains & robots.
One day, this little boy had the idea to imagine a new robot, and to ask Brio to make it for him.
The drawing was done, a letter (in English) was written, and then sent to Brio, in Sweden. This happened in Spring 2008.And then, one day, a week before Christmas, a parcel from Sweden was delivered in the little boy's mailbox. Coming from Brio. The little boy & his family just couldn't believe their eyes.In the parcel came a letter (from Brio Network Design Team), a copy of the little boy's drawing & letter to Brio. And ... and ... the robot that he had drawn, handpainted specially for him, along with a vehicule handpainted to the robot's deisgn & name ... and 16 other robots currently existing all over the world !!
The room was filled with laughs & shouts of amazement, and tons of excitment !
In life, anything is possible.
You have to believe & it can come true.
* The End *

AMAZING. This is amazing, don't you think ?!!
So here's a bit shoutout to Brio, one of the most famous Swedish brands ! You guys are the most amazing people ! :D

Activities Advent Calendar - Day 17 : Making chocolate holiday treats !!! YUM !! (I simply melted gluten free dark chocolate with butter & a bit of cream, in the microwave, and made little circles with it, on waxed paper, and the boys added pistachios, pine nuts, almonds & pecan nuts. Left to dry in a cold place, but next time I'll put them in the fridge) They just had them for their snack, and given that there are none left, I'd say it was a huge hit !!! LOLI also received today a parce from Japan, containing fabric ink pads I had ordered last week, from a sweet lady named Mayumi @ Karaku. She wrapped the content so beautifully with dark blue Japanese paper, and included a small cotton tote, stamped with my name on it !! Can you believe that ?! It also included a pack of Hello Kitty tissues, so cute !!

Just a note to my net friends :
- Kia, I received your parcel & card last Friday & sent you an email to let you know & thank you, but you apparently didn't get it, I'm so sorry, I'll find another way to contact you !
- Darylynn, I got your card yesterday, thanks a bunch, I loved he photo with R !! :)
- Elizabeth, I just received your card today !! Thank you so much, sis* ! :)

We went to the doctor's at noon, P has a rhinopharyngitis, and had been coughing like mad the last two nights. U's finger is healing correctly & the doctor told me that when we showed him the very first time (two weeks ago), U was *that* close from the surgery. Oh gosh, the worst is over. Phew.
OK, enough for today, I guess. :) Have a great middle of the week !! xoxoxo

  5. Oh my gosh, that is so amazing! How fabulous for Paul! He's a toy designer! :) I just watched a TV show where kids were asked to design Christmas trees for the famous Christmas window displays in department stores. They picked 6 of the kid's designs and made it happen! I'll see if I can find that link for my post tomorrow. (((Hugz)))

  13. well done Paul! And well done the company for being so sweet. What a fabulous Christmas gift for a young boy to get. Perhaps this will start Paul off on a life of being a toy designer!
I have to admit, that I don't know this particular toy company, but I'll have to track them down now and see if they have anything for little one. A company who think so highly of children is worth searching for, and I don't blame you at all for talking about it here and praising them. Amazing in this day and age that a company can be so kind. Lovely.

oh, I forgot to mention it a couple of days ago, but I got a card from you in the post! Thank you for that. That was very kind of you.

I hope both boys are fit and well soon, they have to be healthy for all the Christmas presents! :O) have a lovely day xx
