Sunny.Saturday

We planned for a cosy little weekend, but the weather was so nice, that we decided to make a picnic in Disney, and spent the rest of the afternoon there. It was so sunny & warm, well uh except when you were in the shadow !! LOL I think it was something like 4 or 5°C this morning, but I don't mind these temps when the sun is out ! Icy rain is not particularly my cup of tea, I must admitt ! :DThis is where we picnicked, by the Disney Lake ... that was so peaceful, really.

{Please note that I will remove this video in the next few days}

Fallen leaves were still dry (only rained a bit some days ago) so that meant lots of leaves fun for the boys !! Yeepie ! They really enjoy that so much ! We then walked a lot (despite the fact that I've entered THE moment of the month) and even went inside the park (despite the immense crowd - Halloween is around the corner ...) And we went back home around 06pm.Don't laugh (pleeeaaase) but I do think I changed a lot my point of view on things in 2008. Things have really changed in my ol' lil' brain ... and not only do I count my blessings very often (as you must have read about it here in the past) but I do realize now that I DO SEE now & that I DID NOT SEE before. Not clear, I know. LOL I simply mean that I have the very strange feeling to be aware of things now, and that I had never been before. All these details of the seasons changing ... gosh, I'm 30 & it feels I'm seeing them all, N O W O N L Y ! I see everything, just as if I was blind before ! I don't know if you understand what I'm explaining here, and how I feel, but it's kind of a weird (good weird, though LOL) feeling. I'm always pointing things (to the boys or to Chris) just as if I was ... a little girl ... again. (I hope my hubby doesn't think I'm crazy ! LOL)It was a beautiful day indeed. In the morning Chris had took the boys to the health store, and I took advantage of that free time alone & of that bright sunlight to work on my Dream cushion.OK, I have to go now. Off to watch another Sherlock Holmes episode with hubby ... You see, it's like this again ... I watched these already in the past but I DO appreciate them now only. I love Sherlock Holmes, I really do. OK, I love my hubby best !! ahahah !
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend !! Lots of hugs OXOX

PS : Christmas books review will come back tomorrow or on Monday. :)

  1. Oh, what a sweet video you shared with us! :) Your 3 boys are really cute together! We had a nice (partly) sunny Saturday, too, but today it's raining cats and dogs and it's really windy. So we're enjoying being at home eating homemade banana bread. YUMMY! Happy day, Sonia! Hugs!

  2. Oh Sonia, huge thanks for sharing the video of your beautiful family, it is so precious to see them playing together.

    I know what you mean by being more aware of things. Taking time to stop and "see" things, being thankful for our health and our well beings. Appreciating eachother in our busy lives takes work, but we realise how quick the time goes.

    Love your embroider, its growing so wonderfully, much love, ClareX

  3. Stopped by earlier but didn't have time to write a message so am back. I just love the video! Hearing your little boys laughing and also U speaking is magical! What a wonderful time they were having. I imagine that where you were is banned for dogs? Sad to say that because there are a lot of careless and thoughtless dog owners in the park near where we live, we've always been wary of picking up leaves and having such fun :( But walking on crunchy autumn leaves has to be one of the best, ageless and cheapest pastimes ever!
    I particularly love the autumn leaves photo at the top of your post, stunning!
    Hope you've had a good weekend....we just have one more week and then we're off for half-term week, yippeee!

  7. Sounds heavenly. A lovely day spent with your loved ones. The weather is still quite warm here, and only nippy in the mornings. The cold is welcome. I like the cozy feeling of it.

    Your new project is coming along beautifully. Well done. I do love the pink with linen combination.

    I am run off my feet for the coming 2 months, finishing projects and just living life.
    But I will make sure that I will be visiting my favourite blogs and flickrs :)

    Sending hugs your way!
