Yep, I was oh so right to have been on the balcony yesterday morning, to have a cuppa & do my embroidery, for today is nothing for rain, rain & rain. Such different days !
My MIL's birthday will be next Sunday. As she won't be here, and we won't be in the south for her bday, I have planned to send her a little birthday package through the mail. I have to say that I scratched my head for a looooong time before coming up with a good idea. I have to say that I wanted to make a part of the present myself. (yeah, I know) So, I came up with the idea of wristwarmers ... which is a good idea in her case as she's always feeling cold, specially her hands & feet. {uh oh, maybe an idea for a Xmas gift ... ah aaaaaah} I used blue polar fleece, I machine-sewed them yesterday afternoon, and then hand-embroidered them yesterday evening. I'm rather pleased with them & I hope she'll enjoy them. I rather like the little snowflake that I made on the top, it came quite naturally. (no pattern) In the package I'll be including oragnic lemon verbena infusion sachets (for her to keep warm, along with the wristwarmers, during the long, cold winter evenings), hazelnut candies & hazelnut chocolate. I'll make the boys draw a beautiful card & tomorrow everything will be on her way !
I have just a TRILLION craft things I want to do, and this includes things for my shop, gifts for friends, Christmas gifts & Christmas decorations ... but geeez I don't know where to start !! Please someone has a tip to stretch the days ????!
Aneth, I'm not forgetting you & the Xmas books in French review, I'll do it on Thursday. Wednesdays are just too full with the boys at home for me to spend a lot of time at the computer. :S
I hope you're all doing fine, everything is doing OK here. Love & Happiness to all. XOXOXO

ReplyDeleteCoucou Sonia! Long time no visits, huh! So sorry about that, we have been abscent from our blog for a few weeks now, because other things came in the way :) I have been reading up on your goings-on lately though, and I am always as amazed at how MUCH you get DONE all the time... Gosh, I wish I had some of that energy! :) Loved the little movie of your boys playing in the leaves, how precious! We have our Autumn holiday next week too, and we are excaping from home for the whole week... lol! Really, our Autumn will be clamped with things going on, so we really need next week to relax and re-charge for a bit :) Oh, and those wrist-warmers for your MIL looks absolutely fabulous, I adore the little snowflake too! I must show them to Sofia, being blue and all, then again she will problably want me to make her a pair too... lol! Take care sweet Sonia, and enjoy your Toussaint holiday next week!
