Brrr ... it's getting cold ! We're around the freezing point, I guess it was between 2 or 5°C all day long. And a fog, a fog as thick as mud (I don't know if there is a proverb for that, in English) ... I had never seen a fog that thick. We almost coudn't see the school that is just across the street !! It was so mysterious & cozy ... mmm ... and the very upside is that it made all the spiders' webs so gorgeous, so pearly, like a Nature's jewel !
The boys & I went shopping for food this morning AND this afternoon (to long to explain), so we hardly stayed home. But they did some educational activities, and I turned the heat on for the first time of the season. It didn't smell that good, but it faded away rather quickly, hopefully. At the shop I bought a Christmas magazine (na na na Ladies, it doesn't enter the "book" category, ahahah LOL) ... which I started enjoying with a warm latte ... mmm ! I hope to get inspired for making lovely crafts, for me, for the boys, with the boys, for my shop, for presents ... etc !
The day isn't over, so I'm not despairing not to sew a bit. Yesterday evening, when the boys were sleeping, I sewed another tissue cozy, in autumnal colors again, with little flowers.It will be in the shop later today. (hopefully)
Yesterday a dear friend of mine passed me a beautiful award (grazie mile cara Kia !! baci XOXO), but as I must forward it to 10 people only, it's going to be too tough for me, and I don't want to vex anyone. I visit A LOT (really, believe me, A LOT) of blogs, including lots of friends', and they're all great to visit. I hope you understand me, sweet Kia, and I'm truly touched that you thought about me for this award. I'd pass an award to tons of Ladies !!
Speaking of websites, I visit so many of them, that I'm thinking about sharing them with you all. I know I had created another blog for that, but I think noone was visiting, and to keep things simpler (less is more), I'll post them here, as well as wonderful Etsy shops.
OK, I have to go now, I'd like to sew a bit before the boys realize I'm at the computer !! Ahah ! LOL I hope you're all having a nice middle of the week ! Big hugs to all XOXOXO

there is no better artist than Mother Nature. I love cobwebs in the winter, they look like diamond encrusted lace.
ReplyDeleteThick as mud fog sounds like a perfect description to me Sonia. Sometimes it's so thick, that if feels you must cut your way through it with scissors, so the image of you wading through thick, mud like fog is perfect!
I'm still having fun visiting sites too. The only time I regret having a passworded diary is when I can't leave the address and know people can just stop by and visit. It makes it so hard getting to make new friends, but I'm trying.

Well, must fly. A million extra things to do today, and yet here I am. Having a quick surf around! (Little one wanted to play upstairs for a while, so it gave me the perfect opportunity to have some computer time!)

ReplyDeleteWhen it's very foggy we say "you can cut it wiht a knife" - we had a lot of days of cut-with-a-knife fog in Piedmont, Italy.

It has been soo cold hasnt it, I almost cant bare to take the dogs out. Winter is here.
Love seeing the christmas magazines they are so inspirational and make me look forward to the busy season. Theres nothing better than curling up with a cuppa and enjoying a good new mag.
